Griffin Inn in Denbighshire

Had a great 3 nights here whilst working. Fantastic breakfast - zero grease, high quality ingredients and well cooked. Friendly staff and lovely spacious rooms. Nothing too much trouble. Restaurant orders finish a bit early at about 8 so keep that in your plans.

Just been to the Griffin Inn with my partner and her brother and wife. Absolutely wonderful meal and staff only too willing to help. Pleasant family atmosphere, menu a little limited but beautifully cooked and presented. Will certainly be going back again when visiting

Dined here for lunch today , I had crispy beef salad with a chilli sauce and my husband had beef, onion and blue cheese ciabatta served with salad and crips. Both dishes were excellent. The salad was so fresh and the beef very tender. The lady waiting-on was very friendly & efficient. Great place for a relaxing lunch, will definitely be returning soon!

Disappointed- my expectations were high after seeing all the other positive reviews but I have now come to the assumption that all those positive reviews were writen by friends and family. The hosts were rude and did not know simple manners. The only positive were the views even though they were not of the sea :(

Called in for lunch for the first time since refurbishment and very impressed. Nice atmosphere, spotlessly clean, good service from friendly staff, good beer and great fresh food. We'll certainly be back.

Host’s personality as dry as a bone. Frosty reception and felt unwelcome after what was a lovely day in the countryside! Shame.“No sea view” and “small double” comments on Four In a Bed also ridiculously insulting to other Hosts

Family of 9 visited for Sunday lunch. All the classics on the menu, food hot and plentiful Friendly staff and lovely clean place with large garden for the kids to play. A real treat!

A very nicely presented pub/restaurant.Good food and excellent service. Spacious with lovely garden area. Bike racks as well. Recommend that you try!They continue to provide excellent service!

First time dining here after they reopened and it was excellent. Great new layout, it was cosy but not too crowded. Everyone on our table cleaned there plates. I had the steak and it was cooked perfectly. Will be returning if I'm ever in North Wales again for sure.

I’d just been up Moel Famau with my dog. It was a lovely and sunny, warm spring day. I entered the Griffin Inn and the temperature suddenly plummeted... this was due to the frosty reception. I ordered a pint of cask ale and was served it with a two inch head on it. The bar maid was very perturbed that I had the nerve to ask her to top it up, and scowled as she did so!..... “How dare I!”..I then ordered a continental meat sharing platter for £12. I was then served three slices of prosciutto that was tainted by ‘unidentifiable fridge flavours’. I suspect it had been left unwrapped in the fridge. This was accompanied by three tiny ramekins. The first one contained seven, small, cheap black olives from a jar. The second contained balsamic vinegar and oil. The third, a few sundried tomatoes. To pad out this peevish offering, it came with several tiny slices of ciabatta!.. and yes... you’ve guessed it... they were stale!I’m guessing that as usual with google reviews most have been left by friends and family.Personally, I haven’t felt so ‘ripped off’ in quite some time! The staff also seem to have a love of the word can’t!.... and .....‘Don’t’ signs, adorn the place!My recommendation for the Griffin Inn is.....‘drive straight past!’
