Llandegla Community Shop in Denbighshire

Brilliant that the community has kept this shop/cafe going. All the essentials available and a lovely atmosphere from the staff. As an Offa's Dyke walker would prefer a more than basic 'Happy Shopper' stock, such as Nakd bars, or higher percentage cocoa levels dark chocolate. One of my favourite designated cafe stops when on the bike. Always a top drawer service, always made to feel really welcome and the food always brilliant.

Fab little shop, great prices too,you can get home made cakes, tea, coffee and food to take out. Also has small cafe. (Haven't tried that yet) as I usually get take away and sit by river to eat and drink.

Great little shop and cafe, serving the heart of the community and looking after tourists admirably well. We had a warm welcome and felt very at home as we enjoyed a freshly cooked breakfast.

The ladies volunteering on the day I was there were absolutely lovely!Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they were very polite and professional.You can tell they absolutely love working there.The food was amazing and relatively well priced. Good selection in the shop also, and lots to appease anyone.Will absolutely and definitely return!

This is a FANTASTIC community project, well run with wonderful volunteers, welcoming and friendly...the cafe served excellent home cooked food, and the shop was well stocked with a myriad of items! An oasis in a Welsh desert, and a great example of community care!

We called on spec, spotting the sign on the main road directing us to this delightful shop/cafe. It provided a very welcome stop on a long journey from Ceredigion to the Peak District. The cafe had welcoming (volunteer) staff and great value snacks. On a cold and wet day we appreciated the warmth too. The community shop was well enough stocked to set us for a meal or two on our homeward return. All in all a most pleasant break and one we’d recommend to any traveller - worth a bit of a detour in fact.

I had a vegetarian sausage and fried egg bap; it was absolutely delicious, and the lady brought it outside for me. They take dogs inside; but the sun was out so I wanted to be outside. The atmosphere is just lovely, and the team are delightful ! If you want eggs or a Thai food the shop also does these and they are just as tasty !

Do you remember when you used to go over to your Gran's, and she'd make the most amazing breakfast for you? Yeah, they do that here. No, really, that exact same breakfast! Lovely ingredients, reasonably priced. Wonderful!
