Lovely old pub, only a swift stop on way home and didn't eat there so don't think it's fair to give full marks but drinks we had, the location, and the bar staff all fab!!

The best vegan pizza I've ever had... Annie's veggie and meaty pizzas are obviously amazing too, because on the weekend, this place is packed with pizza lovers, her dough is epic!!!!In the week, it's the most lovely and welcoming of pubs with diamond locals, and the lovely landlord Tom remembers your name and knows his beers.Beautiful old building filled with history, dog friendly with free puppy biscuits!Go there, it's boss!!!

An astounding find in the middle of the Welsh Hills.we were touring from Chester, through spectacular scenery on a lovely summers afternoon. No preplanning of our route allowed us to venture down tight, narrow lanes, through fern covered vistas twisting ,rising and falling towards unknown villages and hamlets. After a really pleasant stop for tea and sandwiches lane passing place, that was memorable for the total silence and peaceful aura,we continued downhill,to be greeted by the screen beaty of this stunning village in the middle of knowhere. After refreshments at this enchanting pub, built in the 13th century,we went across the lane to the wonderful church ,set on the hill opposite.the gated entrance is marvellous construction of stone timber and slate. This is a must see location that does not disappoint at all after our winding descent from Denbigh.

We stopped here for a quick drink on the way home from Snowdonia. It’s a lovely little village. Good beer. Friendly service. Proper traditional pub feel and a wonderful copper topped bar. Didn’t eat but food looked excellent also. Recommended.

Traditional country pub in nice village. Comfortable place to relax in front of log burner after a pleasant walk through beautiful vale of Clwyd. Good selection of real ale and wines and spirits. We had soup as a snack which was really good. Friendly and efficient staff. Recommended.

A great pub to have a drink. You can play pool and darts in the back room. It also has a nice outside area.We had to wait to place our food order until a large party had been served. It arrived over an hour after we had initially wanted to order. The food was nice.It opens at 5pm most days and only serves food on some of them- signage outside even contradicts each other. I prefer pubs to be more reliable.
