What an absolutely fantastic place.Not only was the food sublime, but the service was second to none.

Very pleased with both the food, and the service.Covid seems to have completely changed the food scene - it used to be that 'most places' had decent food - now you have to hunt out the good ones, like this. You could tell the food was home-cooked, not frozen. The starters were original, and tasty (the Welsh rarebit fritters were delicious, and well presented), and the main courses all enjoyable. Staff were friends, good with kids, and attentive. One minor niggle is it would be good to see the vegetarian choices (of which I was pleased to see several) at no more than the price of the meat dishes.Very happy to recommend, and we'll certainly return.

Superb imaginative cuisine from a talented chef with faultless service in a relaxed family atmosphere. The small plates were delicious, beautifully thought out and presented. The vegan/vegetarian experience is truly exceptional with many different and interesting choices. It seems to me that at least as much effort has gone into the non-meat dishes as the others. The service, delivering all those small plates to a full dining room in under two hours, is remarkable, because, on this 'Small plates and open mic night', by nine o'clock the chef Rob emerges to host and perform the first songs. Many of the diners then perform themselves to a high standard, making this a most enjoyable evening.

Omg what a Sunday roast, best ever, loads of veg and gravy, beef was medium rare, starters were spot on...highly recommended..wonderful staff...I was so full I couldn't even look at the dessert menu 😋

Absolutely beautiful food and professional service 🤩I’ve nearly given up trying British food but today this mint lamb pie after a fabulous patè starter completely changed my mind. Beautiful plates, all (7) of us enjoyed our meals and drinks, and the reasonable price is on top of the experience 😊

Chose to eat here as a special meal for my wife's birthday, not knowing the area I relied on the reviews and we weren't disappointed, we had two great meals, the crispy beef was the best I've ever tasted and the puddings, well, delicious.Great ambience and attentive staff, can highly recommend this restaurant.

Amazing find, the food was impeccable, Rob the chef really knows his stuff. The front of house manager Vicky made us feel like we were with family. Will be returning soon!
