We were hosted last minute this weekend as a large group of 20 people who where having a weekend away. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The Sunday roasts were unbelievably good and many of the group commented on how it was one of the best they’d had in a long time! Portion sizes where good and quality of food was brilliant.Thank you for being great hosts. We’d definitely be back again if we are in the area

What a find! We visited last night with the family, dogs more than welcome 🐾 all the staff were lovely and the food was amazing. Beware we’re good eaters but the portions where huge! Everything is homemade and I highly recommend the Dover Sole Fish and Chips. Absolutely Devine!!! Thanks everyone we’ll definitely be back see you soon. Maggie, Mick, Hannah Jack Isla and lil Ern and Lexi dogs x

Went for our first meal here tonight. Absolutely delicious. Lots of choice and huge portions. All freshly made, no pub grub, a real step above. Highly recommended and I don't usually say that

Cute pub with really excellent food and dog friendly. Staff were friendly but service was not very attentive so it took a while to order food, and we were finally served about an hour and a quarter after arriving. Fortunately the food was fantastic so it was worth the wait.

Just home from enjoying an absolutely beautiful Sunday roast here. The welcome felt very warm and genuine from a lovely team who couldn't do enough for us.The food was hot and very well presented. They were more than happy to provide a " take home" meal for a family member who couldn't join us. The generosity of the cook was like " kindness on a plate"Thank you all...we will be back!

We had a two course lunch here today ( Sunday ).Pork pate with bruschetta bread and red onion marmalade and side salad.Field mushroom with bacon bits and rarebit sauce with side salad and balsamic dressing. We both had roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, cauliflower, broccoli, white cabbage, roast potatoes, roast parsnip, roast carrot, mashed potatoes and gravy.Quite possibly the best Sunday lunch we have had in years.Served hot, a generous serving of beef too. Loads of flavour and nicely presented.Honestly couldn't fault it in any way😁👍Stumbled on this little gem by accident but it won't be our only visit here.
