Samirah Spice in Denbighshire

We regularly visit Indian restaurants and this is the worst we have visited.We were poorly greeted, we were not asked if we would like a drink(soft drink) , we carried no alcohol on arrival. We waited half an hour until they took our order. There was no background music. The building was cold.The locals seemed to be favoured.The owner has previously won awards for his food, but seems to have let the business slip and is living in the past.The menu is dated and the food is below average.

Tasty food & good service, Remember to take your own drink. You can buy soft drinks in the restaurant.

Excellent food and staff! Car parking 100 yds away .No alcohol served which isn't a problem as you take your own.The Tilapia in sauce is superb!!

Very rude staff - the guy serving us was very friendly to other tables but gave us a hard time from the very minute we sat on the table (evidently racist).The food was overly sweet and lacked salt. We had to coordinate our order thrice and we still didn’t get some of the items.

Lovely food, can't fault anything our group had. Everywhere looked clean and tidy and the person who served us was helpful and friendly. Down side was that it was cold in the restaurant, the heating was not on and when we asked for it to be switched on it hardly threw out any heat..

Served by the manager on a Wednesday evening who was extremely rude!!! We would never recommend this place which is a shame as the reviews were excellent so to be treated so badly, we were very disappointed.We weren't offered the Wednesday buffet offer until we asked, we were not asked if we wanted any drinks so we bought beer from the pub next door. When the manager brought out our meals he said lb rizala. We said we ordered lamb tikka vindaloo to which he replied, "yeah, it's the same".We had to ask for our desert which was included and the guy interrupted us and angrily said "what do you want" twice.We then had a half hour wait until we ended up asking for the bill and he didn't even look up and just said "yeah, whatever".We could not wait to get out of there!

We are local residents and enjoy eating out. We have been to Abdul Spice on a few occasions, and it was ok. However, sadly, we will not be returning as it has gone from just ok to dreadful. We went on Saturday 21st August. We had a dreadful experience, as have many others according to the latest feedback. We asked the waiter on 2 occasions for a large glass and it did not arrive. I went to the bar myself in the end. The waiter lent onto our table to write the order, not observing any social distancing. He did not have much knowledge of the menu, and was not attentive at all to our needs. The phone was constantly ringing and rarely being answered. There is no atmosphere in there other than frustrated customers. We ordered at 6.30 and the food had still not arrived at 8pm. We were offered some popadoms while we were waiting, however, I would be far too full to appreciate my meal if they fill me up on popadoms. We got up and left without getting our meal, we had waited enough and so our Saturday night out was ruined by Abdul Spice. They have lots of signs on the windows and every wall in the restaurant stating the are officially the best Indian restaurant in Wales 2015. Well I am sorry Abdul Spice but your current performance is very very poor and I would say you are officially the worst Indian restaurant in Wales 2021. So you can either take no notice of this feedback, or make the changes that are urgently needed to address the glaring issued, or I fear for your future.

Food not bad. Food took 20 minutes longer than online ordering suggested, so was waiting around at restaurant for it. I wonder if the chef has changed since the time they were awarded best Indian in Wales? Both Facebook and website have changed too, so makes me wonder about new management

We came across Abul's Spice after every restaurant we went to in the area, said they were no longer serving (9 pm on a Saturday night). Then thank goodness we came across AS and we knew it'd be open and the food would be decent. It was! The staff we're welcoming and very friendly. We had the Welsh lamb special which was excellent!
