We were placed outside, where it was very cold. At the end it turned out that they had a section that had some outdoor heating but we weren't deemed worthy of that. Other tables were invited inside and we were left outside. We were told it was table side service but service was non existent. Generally poor. Food was ok, hard to say too much about drinks as we couldn't get attention to have them refreshed. Skip it, or make sure you sit inside where presumably the staff exist. Also, found out after the meal that they do have blankets but didn't offer us any.

Found the whole meal to be surprisingly excellent. Service was quick and prices reasonable. We thought it would be good, but not that good. Lamb burger was nice, but the pastry on the pie was particularly good.

I would give 10 stars if it was an option. Not the average pub experience, this is how all the others should be! Burger (bearded men) was delicious, and the chips were crispy and super fresh. I really enjoyed that the burger was served with red cabbage for a crunch as opposed to the usual lettuce/tomato/onion combo. Friendly team with excellent service.

Sat in the marquee lovely sunny day. Outside bar too. Great service and lovely food I booked as its Bank Holiday and good job I did as it started to get really busy. Had the bearded man burger. Gorgeous. Picture below

Found this fab place on way home from Barmouth. The staff are outstanding...as is the food on offer. Lovely meal in a sunfilled courtyard. My wife rated the ladies facilities 20 out of 10. Excellent thinking by the owner and we were also asked prior to dining if anyone had food allergies. Would recommend to everyone and will be returning when back in the area xxxxx

Food was quite tasty. The lady that greeted and seated us was really nice but the rest of the staff seemed overwhelmed and we waited a very long time for everything, even just a jug of water took 3 separate asks. I loved the decor, especially the mirror at the entrance and the see through floor element to see the wine cellar but was very let down by service.

Can’t fault this place. It’s got a lovely warm atmosphere and is wonderfully decorated. The menu has plenty of choice. The staff were really friendly and the service was quick. Would 100% recommend.

Large pub with lots of outside seating for summer. Dog friendly in certain bar areas for food and drink. Nicely refurbished pleasant atmosphere with lovely attentive staff. Good selection of food(small dog menu) which was great quality and reasonably priced. Very impressive selection of draft beers and drinks, we will be back again 👍🍻

Absolutely superb food, really pleasant atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Outdoor seating was fantastic, lovely to sit on the stable and have an overhead heater to take the chill off. Lovely bottle of house red. Ribs and burger beautiful! Highly recommended!!

Best place in the village I visited for food. Great menu and great service. Dog and mountain bike friendly. Staff are very attentive, the guy on front of house especially so - he remembered my drink (Coors) from the day before! I will call again when I'm in the area.
