Excellent food and service, loved it so much we went back the next night, the sizzling prawns is to die for. Also the starters are amazing. We loved it all. Kids enjoyed there meals to. Great staff, very happy to be of assistance. We have stayed in the caravan park opposite the ffrith for the past few years and only ever popped in for a drink never food but after the experience we have had this time it's going to be our place to go.Thanks all @ The ffrith. We loved it 👍Mr and Mrs Gardner 👌

Booked a table which was ready when we arrived staff very welcoming. Food was hot nicely presented and tasty. Overall had a nice enjoyable visit. So nice we have booked again for this Saturday and bringing the family.

Wish I could of given no stars an absolute shambles of a night.Booked 2 days before got there told that it will be a 1 hour wait for food should of gone then but thought we would waitWe ordered our drinks only to be told that the wine we wanted was unavailable and no alcohol free lager or beer only an expensive cider. Eventually when the food arrived mixed grills for four most of the meat was not fit for purpose nobody came to see if everything was ok till the end and said they were sorry and that was It no attempt made by the manager to rescue a bad night needless to say the dog had a lot of meat that night when we got home. Will not be going back in a hurry disappointed because previously it had been good service and food had been good but failed abysmally on this occasion .

Staff more intent on loading shelves with glasses than serving customers. Food average, portion of scampi not as advertised, 7 small pieces not 9, cocktail nice, would have ordered more plus dessert but ‘Reserved’ sign placed on our table making us feel unwelcome. Staff not overly friendly. Tables not clean. Washroom out of soap and paper and hand dryer not working. TV far too loud! Will not be returning. 2 stars for the cocktail.

Visited today at 1pm to be told we could not sit in the main restaurant room as they did not have tables for2 and they may have to turn business away if it got busy. Showed a table at the rear of the restaurant that had a very noisy family sat at a tablein the middle if it. Other than this family there were 2 other diners. Said we did not want to sit in the rear room and was told we could sit in the bar area. Sat for a minute.....not set up for food no menu etcCan't say anything about the food as the two of us did not stay long enough to order any.Walked out in disgust

Went for dinner last Saturday around 6pm.We regularly eat at the pub.We visit the pub on a regular basis.Pub was very busy, not enough staff on to cope with the demand behind the bar.One or two staff and a line of 10 people with only one side of the bar open.Mixed grill and rump steak ordered. The steak was overcooked and inedible. When I complained and asked for a refund they told me to go and wait back in the line of 10 people to get this. In the end I just walked out.I've worked in hospitality for 20 years and it's some of the worse customer service that I've experienced in response to out food not being up to standard.

On the first day all seemed nice so we booked for dinner the next day, gave my details including my number, when we arrived for our reservation, we were told there were staff shortage so a limited menu was on and that people had been advised by phone... I had not. Meanwhile while trying to find another pub a dog who was not on a lead went straight for my little girl, my mother had to quickly pick her up. There are signs up in the pub to say dogs must be on leads. No real sincerity showed by staff or the dog owner.

Had mixed grill which was all piled up on small plate, we would have preferred a bigger plate so it could be laid out better. The onions were piled up underneath, the plate so hot the onions got stuck to it. A suggestion is to offer onion rings instead of fried onions. We were asked if we wanted sirloin or rump steak but not told sirloin would cost a total for 2 of £6.60 more, so for 2 mixed grills and 2 shandy's the bill was £31. The pub/restaurant itself was very nice, staff very attentive and pleasant, all very clean and restrooms very clean.
