Me and my buddy stayed on the station caravan and camp site in Carrog, less than a ten minute walk from this pub. We had a perfectly seared fillet steak with real chips times two and swilled down with a couple of pints of real locally brewed light ale each, all for around fifty quid (worth every penny). Overlooking the river and picturesque medieval Bridge it was an amazing spot for tea. Special, and definitely recommended.

What a gorgeous setting and friendly and helpful staff and great food what more can you ask would highly recommend.

One of the best meals I've had on my week long holiday. The steak was cooked perfectly with generous portions of trimmings. Chef even swapped my chips for sweet potato fries. Meal was served in good time on hot plates.Lovely interior design. Nice staff.Would highly recommend.

Just great views and food. Brilliant place.

Lovely views and a tranquil setting, friendly helpful staff. Whitebait starter was adequate. The stout and ales pie topping was hard shortcrust with a thin gravy with little taste, puff pastry would have saved this pie somewhat. 3 mains, 3 systems, 3 drinks and a side £71. A reasonably priced meal in a lovely setting with a varied menu.

A lovely place, with very friendly staff and the food was great. Good selection plus specials board. Good atmosphere too.

Good food served and after a 18 miles of a 29 mile hike, the bowl of chips and a pint went down a treat. Super friendly staff. Have visited on a few occasions and will again. Photo view from their outdoor terrace.

From.the moment we crossed the bridge into Carrog we felt nicely at home.A little tricky to get into the car par but once in their you are fine and the views from the terrace are beautiful. It was a little cool so we sat in the bar for food and drink.Traditional and well served meals available yo you.As the pub filled up the younger lasses took over chatting with the locals and ourselves.A nice treat at the end of a good day.

This place is all about the view. Just off the main road, across the river and then wow what a beautiful view. Food wise, I would put it at average maybe slightly below, basically this was not about the food. The service was a little slow to say the least, enjoyed the beer though. Would I go here again on the way back from Snowdonia, nope as I've seen the view.

Lovely food, amazing views & the service was brilliant. One particular lady (didn't get her name but think she was the boss) saved us twice by fitting us in when they were fully booked. Love this place.
