Very friendly and helpful staff.Good menu selection, large portions.Great place to socialise as well as stay.

One of our favourite haunts. The food is stunning. Never had a bad meal and the staff are very attentive.

Went for the burger night. The young chap that looked after us was great. He sorted some sausage and chips (not on the menu) for our youngest daughter. The food and drink was great, as was the atmosphere. Great to see a busy pub on a Tuesday night

You get a very good menu option for tea and a large amount of it. Unfortunately the heating in my room didn't turn off properly and the shower was either very hot of very cold also quiet cheap and poor qualitys sheets. The breakfast was unfortunately not as good as tea. The tea tray in the room doesnt have have spoon. The 3rd bed was a camp bed which was such poor quality I slept on the floor the mattress needs to be large and replaced because you could feel the wooden panels in the camp bed. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. If I could it would be a 3.5 stars

Me and my wife had gone to see are daughters first house. Asked her for somewhere nice to eat she said try the the red lion Inn. So glad we did. we was lucky to get a table as it was really busy. We sat in the heated outside bit which was lovely. Staff are really friendly. Ordered drinks and food which was really quick to come. My wife had gammon I had the burger both were cook really well 2 meals for £20 really find it hard to find better food. Would advise to book as it gets really busy and with the boss and all the staff being so friendly and top quality food I can see why. 100% recommended this place will be back soon thank for a lovely meal

First time visit, omg the food is amazing, big portions, the staff were excellent one of the best places I have eaten in all my 27 years in Wales

Was recommended this place and I must say it's a really cute little old school pub. Good drinks choice behind the bar. Our visit, I'm sure wasn't their best effort. We walked in (hadn't booked) and waited at the bar because we of course didn't know if we were allowed to just go and take a table. The bar person saw us but didn't say anything so we thought we must just pick our own table and started to head towards one at which point the bar person said "wait there, have you booked?" of course we hadn't and then we had to wait to be given a table. Which is fine, it just wasn't the warmest of welcomes.The waiting staff were very nice, I ordered the brisket fries and my partner ordered the burger. The "brisket fries" were chips that had been topped with Sunday lunches leftover beef and a bit of powdered gravy on top, it wasn't brisket. And my partner found a hair in his food. Luckily he'd more or less finished his food so we settled up and left.All this said, they seem to be very busy and tables fully booked, I was overhearing them turn away phone bookings because they were full so they are obviously very popular. So I think I would give them another try.
