Fantastic food - some old fashioned dishes that you don't find elsewhere. Best to book. Service is warm, friendly and efficient. If you just want tea and cake the choices are amazing and all taste lovely. Add to that the road between Afonwen and Yr Wyddgrug (Mold) is one of the most scenic in the area.

We have visited to eat many times and we have never had a negative experience. The staff are cheerful, pleasant and efficient, the food is excellent and the puds and cakes are basically dangerous! They are all so good. There is always a friendly atmosphere and the staff all treat you like they're interested in you and even your dog (if you bring one and sit outside). Anyone visits from abroad comes with us and they also love it.

Beautiful home cooked food in lovely surroundings. We came across this hidden gem a while back when visiting Afonwen Antiques Centre. We've been back there more than once and are never disappointed.

Be prepared to wait for a table if you haven't booked, but well worth the wait, great food, excellent service, cakes are so sinfull, just the way they should be!. Can highly recommend this restaurant.
