Traditional Fish & Chips in Denbighshire

Was a bit disappointed overall considering the cost,the fish was nice enough chips were not good though lots of small ones and lot of black bits, will try the other chippy next time in Ruthin

Quick turn around on the order. Otherwise it's a regular chippy.

Stop here after taking my granddaughter swimming. Have to say best fish and chips I've had for a while. The service was also excellent.

Have visited here like other f+ch shops in Ruthin for over 50 years,As some one else said i call here the "hit and miss shop.On my last visit I was given flat horrible stale flat fish,and tasteless soggy chips,do'nt like putting food in the bin but I HAD TO !Dissapointed because my previous visit was good and tasty,the way I like fish and chips to be.Had good tasty scampi there better buy and bargin perhaps ! i Would only recomend here with a hit and miss warning !

Just had fish and chips here very expensive. chips like under cooked cardboard and I've had fish fingers with more fish in. Not recommended poor show chaps

We ordered chips and chicken 2x and also fish and chips 1x last friday night. The food arrived very quickly after we ordered which we were surprised at this ,food was disgusting the chicken tasted like several days old and re heated cardboard the chips was horrible, the only tasted okay was the buttered fish.... very expensive meals we throw most of it away in the bin.... not highly recommended , very disappointed 😔

Always good fish but chips occasionally need a bit longer. Double frying the chips would definitely be an improvement.Southern fried chicken is tasty and not greasy.Gravy, curry sauce peas etc always good.

After walking Snowdonia today we were ravenous and l can honestly say these were the most disgusting tasting Chips we have ever eaten. I had SFC & Chips, Daughter and partner had Sausage and Chips, We literally ate a few mouthfuls and binned the lot. Service also very poor, Staff unfriendly.

Lovely clean, fish and chip shop. Very friendly owner, I had chicken and chips and they where lovely, hot out the wrappers. They sell all usual stuff, drinks, baps and sauces ect....

Expensive for very average fish and chips. Sometimes fairly good, but recently had stale, disgusting tasting fish and chips and this is after I waited a long time for them to be supposedly cooked from fresh! No sorry was given for me having to wait..........will be avoiding from now on.
