Dee Dee's Family Cafe in Flintshire

Excellent little cafe, very friendly and welcoming staff.

We had lunch here and it was very nice. Food and coffee were lovely and the staff were very nice.

Would give 0 stars if possible, popped in on a quiet Saturday morning and ordered 2 sausage baps, the girl took 2 ready made ones out of the 'heated' cabinet and attempted to microwave them, apparently the microwave wasn't working so she took them in the back and reappeared a while later with what looked like boiled sausages on a bap that was so dry and crumbly it could have given weetabix a run for its money! I asked her if she had any that were actually cooked and she blamed the sorry state of the food on the previous shift who hadn't prepared them properly, so basically the simplest of food is cooked the day before and underheated to a level that should keep salmonella happy, if you value your health then avoid at all costs.

Good coffee, food expensive and much of the menu unavailable. Service would be one star, staff uninterested and rude apart from one that says she was new. Should have gone to pizza hut on the same estate (Deeside)

If I could give no star I would. Went here today with my mum to get some breakfast. Firstly I was told the “costa coffee” was not actually costa coffee and instead there own with branded cups lol. Then I added the bacon and sausage “bloomer” for us which the server then huffed and looked to see if he had any bacon and sausage, this was then brought through in plastic containers showing that this was precooked and had been left in the fridge a while, disgusted i asked for the date for these I was told to “calm down it’s not that bad” and shown a price sticker quickly claiming to be a date sticker. Paying £9.10 and working in the hospitality industry for 8 years I was obviously furious. The young lad had made these sandwiches not asking what type of bread we would like as my mum can’t eat white flower this was disappointing he carried on buttering this with industrial sized cheap butter and added our meats onto the sandwich before putting into the grill/oven for a minute to cook and hide the fact the bread was old too. These grilled sandwiches were then brought to the table with more butter on the side and some sauce sachets and we’re told “our coffee was on the counter” which had been sitting there for 10 minutes already if I had known to take this myself I would have, I merely commented to my mum how we should have just went to costa instead and was told “go to costa then see if I care” not only was this glorified waiter rude he was also very unhygienic no mask no gloves no real hospitality experience. No wonder there we’re no customers I got my money back and left straight away will never be back. Got better food and service at subway lol.

Nice coffee but disgusted at the prices of the food:-£4.00 for a curled up sandwich £1.50 for a fresh apple and £1.60 for a small satsumaI decided on just a cup of coffee!

Good service and lovely food. As a coeliac I have trouble eating out. Few colleagues available.

Service disappointing. Staff member in cafe didn't offer a friendly greeting or interact with us at all as she served us. I didn't say anything but my friend mentioned how she was. She wasn't rude but indifferent. Several hot food items not available.

The 2 stars are for the polite staff and clean restaurant. It was very quiet 14.20.No pizza, No garlic bread, No jacket potatoes.Paid £7.25 for a cold pasty, curly fries and a tea. Will go to another cafe next time

Worst food I have ever been served up a toastie that was barely toasted and a tuna melt that was soggy as hell and half over the plate. Avoid at all costs. The management should be ashamed. Would give 0 if I could
