Mill House Inn in Flintshire

Popped in for quick meal when shopping one evening.Very cheap and cheerful. Good value basic food. Very busy when we were there.Standards of cleanliness could be improved a bit. Staff busy trying to serve food and clear tables to be fair. Place could do with bit of investment to spruce it up.

I get the food is quick pub food!! However a 40 minute weight for Luke warm food isn't good enough, you could tell it wasn't hot because the cheese slice looked like it was still made.of rubber! Cold buns on the burger, the "streaky bacon" must have been a piglets tail it was so inexistent. Told to sit anywhere, however when the food was actually brought we were told that area isn't usually for food so we have to get our own cutlery and sauces ..which I don't mind but you said sit anywhere!I saw no more than 3 members of staff...all overworked and probably shattered....treat your staff better and the service might improve!

Food was nice although it was from the freezer and the staff were polite but their cleanliness is awful! Me and my friend went just as it opened so everywhere should have been cleaned but as soon as i walked into the toilets the smell hit me like a brick wall. I don't have a weak stomach and it's very rare that you'll see and hear me retch but that's all i did when i got in there. I walked out as quick as i went in and used the disabled toilet which wasn't much better. You could even smell the toilets around the whole pub. Really disappointing.

I got fish and chips. I wouldn’t have given it to my dog. I don’t like doing reviews like this as I’ve worked in the hospitality industry and I know what it’s like. But it was awful. The fish was over done and chewy and brown. The chick Less burger was horrendous. I couldn’t barely eat the bun. My partner got the stake combo. Medium. It was chewy and overcooked as well as the potato skins and garlic bread that came with it. We left and went for food elsewhere. Save your money.

Last time we here food was pretty good so we came back looking forward to trying something else,I had Sunday dinner, which okay you had no Yorkshire pudding, no carrots and no stuffing, but sign saying extra potatoes would be given , however only if you request them when ordering it, so they brought out a bowl of extra roasters after I had to ask, but the veg was boiled to mush, littuay! Mash tasted like glue the roaster again so soft like baby food ,very small portion of meat, instant gravy was lovely though and plenty of it,The chicken looked horrid! But actually tasted okayLasagna was okay for micowave mealOverall disappointed with meal, felt the meal didn't match the price

Went on Friday 22nd April with my 9 year old grandson.Ordered from the children's menu and the Senior menu.Starters took 25 minutes to arrive. Then another 15 minutes after finishing these for the mains to arrive - this is where we had further anguish.My grandsons burger was overcooked and dry. My fish was overcooked and the mushy peas were cold. As the meals took a long time to arrive, I didn’t send the meals back as I thought we could have been waiting another half hour!Once we had finished, but before we left, two tables by us were being cleaned by two members of staff, who were having a conversation, when one of them used a rude word beginning with T. I don’t think my grandson heard this, which I’m glad about and therefore didn’t make an issue of it at the time. I was just so glad to get out of there. Needless to say I will not be returning and neither will anyone from my family.

Ate here over the weekend whilst out shopping. Lovely place and 3 out of the 4 meals we ordered were great. Fourth meal was loaded chips with chicken strips. For £8.99 I was expecting something a little better than a childs size portion of chips with 5 soggy chicken nugget sized strips and a tiny squirt of sweet chilli sauce and nacho cheese sauce! It was so pathetic looking even the husband and children were laughing until I said the price of it 😂. Fair to say I would not order that again. Over all though I would go back as the staff were lovely and the service was very quick.

A surf and turf.A quick stop over at the Premier and easy access to the mill house.The staff was very polite and the food was really good.When I am working in thile area again I will return.
