Plas Hafod Hotel Restaurant & Bar in Flintshire

We celebrated our wedding here on the 17th June & had the most magical day! Simon, Peter & the team took care of everything & we’re on stand by with any queries/ questions we had. Peter was amazing & was at hand all day/ evening to make sure everything ran smoothly. The Wedding food was stunning & so many people commented how gorgeous it was. It’s a beautiful hotel, staff go above & beyond for you & we would highly recommend visiting here or using Plas Hafod for a wedding. Thanks again all, especially to Peter….you helped make our day so special! X

Beautiful place and had a wonderful time at my brother's wedding. It was perfect i would highly recommend this place. My only reason for not giving 5 stars are that it isn't wheelchair friendly, for me anyway. Going to the toilet provide very hard, exhausting and very embarrassing.

Just here for dinner with family. Service was very good, food was between average and good. I had gammon but the egg was over cooked, rubber egg, (it could have also done with a slice of pineapple.) The beef pie was (apparently) very good. I'll make this choice next time, (may be 🤔).I had a new item on the specials menu for starter the Crumpet. I apparently, was number one customer to have this and was asked what were my thoughts. I'll tell you what I told them. It was very good, tasty and different, but it was served in a very deep bowl and had to be eaten with a knife and fork. The bowl was far too deep for this method and it should be served in either a shallower bowl or a plate.There was also a wedding on during our visit and it was very noisy and there was a group of young kids 5-8 year olds running wild, they were even allowed to run through the restaurant even though the wedding party was in a distant room. But kids are kids, I blame the parents . Management should have stopped it as all the dinners had nothing to do with the wedding and the kids became a bit of a nuisance as the evening rolled on even after 4 hours.One of our family had dietary problems and when told, the staff were brilliant and very attentive.I may go again but I will check to make sure there's no weddings.

Absolutely fantastic, from the moment I arrived on the eve of my wedding I felt so special. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. A big shout out to Peter who was amazing. There for a wedding. The old part of the building looks like it needs decorating especially the toilets. Lovely room for the wedding. Food was excellent. Massive portion of chicken! Attention by the staff was very good.

First time out for a meal since before lockdown began. Was not disappointed, good menu with quite a few veggie options if that is what you are looking for. Service was good, staff very helpful and polite, nice atmosphere and the food was great (served HOT!).

Food was lovely. The staff were great, especially the 3 young girls who waited on us. The girl with red hair, to our suprise even spoke some welsh to us when she heard that we were speaking it, bless her. Will be going again.

Stayed to attend a function a lovely hotel very quirky and cosy, very pleased with room, unlike many cooperate hotels each bedroom was individually decorated to a good standard and bed very comfortable.Had lunch there which was very good with ample potions.The function was well attended and the meal was good.The breakfast in the morning was delicious and everything freshly made couldn't fault itA great stay will definitely visit again and highly recommend.

Just one AMAZING Place, this was the stand out location. The grounds around are immaculate, perfect for wedding photos. The staff take their responsibilities very seriously but still have time for a laugh and joke with you. This stems from the owners and the manager, nothing is to much trouble, Peter puts you at ease straight away, he asks what you want and helped me and my new wife organise everything, his staff float round all day and you never notice them as they carry out there duties so well each and everyone of them are a credit to the Plas Haford. The restaurant is beautiful, the quality of the food produced is simply outstanding, its prepared by the chefs who love there job and the high standards they have leaves your stomach full and smiles on your face. This hotel is so much more and worth every visit. Never ever had a bad meal or an unpleasant experience. You may be welcomed as a guest but they treat you like family. All of our wedding guests walked away happy and in awe of the location and the room where we were married. To Simon, Colette, Peter and every member of your staff, both my wife and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our special day that extra special and a complete success with no stress and just enjoyment. This hotel stay was excellent, we booked it as working in the area, the hotel itself is beautiful. But the staff really make this hotel worth a 5 star, they are so friendly, we stayed as a couple but it's one of the few hotels I would happily stay as a lone female. The food was excellent too.
