The Bells of St Marys in Flintshire

Called in for breakfast, as an M&B pub it's a very similar offering to their other brand Toby, which we don't have in North Wales. Love the choose what you like format rather than set breakfasts. Excellent spread topped up regularly, cooked well. Chef knew her stuff. Loved the fried bread which you don't see at Toby.I'd make it more regular if the opening was earlier than 9am but I understand there isn't much business need for it

I Don't want to Review this place because it's so good, The food is excellent and varied, carvery and pizza are our favourites.Reasonably priced too.The Staff are friendly and the place has a warm county pub feel.Now I've told you about it it's obviously going to get busy, fortunately I can book a table via their easy to use app.Hopefully I can get a table now I've told you all about it.Tell them Gary sent you if you go, No it won't get you any discount but I would be interested in the response.Please let me know.

Went here on a good Friday, I thought the food was really nice, good size plates and staff friendly.Reason for not giving a 5 star rating is because there was a wait for almost an hour on a pizza. The place didn't seem all that busy, but think they had a shortage of kitchen staff.Secondly, the ice cream machine wasn't working properly and seemed a bit messy that needed cleaning and possibly restocking. Again probably a shortage of staff. This was a bit of a shame as when asked how long the food would be, was told they are working as quick as they can. (It was another 30 mins after asking they came).Would I go back? Yes, on the whole the place was clean and food was good.Hopefully next time the food is quicker coming out.

Carvery was good, although the plates appear to have gotten smaller.There was a group of 10 of us, and although the orders and payments were taken for other menu items, some were later told what they had ordered were not available.But the food was good.

Been round Rhyl all day and was feeling hungry, but couldn't find any thing. Started heading home and almost in the middle nowhere it was there. Pulled in and I wasn't disappointed, lovely carvery , and plenty of it. £40 for 4 meal's and drinks, bargain. Definitely a revisit if in the area again.

We called in here for lunch after a walk along the beach at Talacre and were very pleasantly surprised. The staff were welcoming even though we hadn't made a reservation and the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Our visit was made all the more memorable due to Adele, the young lady who served us. I wish all serving staff were as pleasant and professional as she was. We will have no hesitation in returning to this lovely establishment.

Lovely little place. We arrived early but that wasn't a problem, the young lady checking bookings in let us choose a table as at that point they were pretty quiet, although they soon started getting busy. I had a small carvery, hubby had a regular. The food was lovely, cooked to perfection, the pigs in blankets were lush..... The gingerbread latte was amazing. Highly recommended for a quiet meal and drink.

We have been going to The Bells for years but because of Covid we have not been for a long time, what a change (and not for the better), the vegetables had obviously been in the warming trays for a long time, the roast potatoes were like bullets, Yorkshire pudding hard and dry, obviously everything was from frozen and not nice, one of my party had fish and chips which were served on "paper on a plate" the paper was sodden with grease!!! We have been going here for around ten years and live locally, we will not be going again, it used to be excellent value for money but now the prices have rocketed and food quality gone down, such a shame.EDIT : The Bells replied and offered a complimentary meal for myself and my partner, we went yesterday, it was very busy but I am pleased to report we both had a lovely meal with no problems, thank you Bells for responding in such a positive way!

Good standard of food also at a good price point.The alcohol was quite cheap which is aways a plus. The food was also of a good standard despite being cheap.The only down side to this restaurant is the online ordering system is very faulty, I’d recommend to order at the bar.They also have a park out front for children

My favourite place to go for my roast dinner. Staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. Food is amazing and a great price for the quality and service.
