Friendly traditional pub. Didn't eat but has a reputation for quality home made grub. I stopped over in the van one night and had a few pints of Guinness. This pub has been run by the same family for generations. Can't stress enough how friendly and welcoming this pub is.🚙🏕️

Lovely overnight stop in the motorhome with electric (£6 a night), food was scrummy with friendly service.

Excellent place for a stopover. Food excellent and lots of it, beer very good. The hosts, Richard and Karen were very accommodating. Will stay there again next time we are in the area.

Stayed for a long weekend, ideal for a couple travelling through. Cottage was tidy, but kitchen was dirty and I had to clean everything down & wash all dishes before use. Although allows dogs not dog friendly at all , no out door space that is secure for them. Front door is right next to a very busy country lane with not much security or privacy as outside our front door was used as car park for the pub Would not recommend

We stopped off here on the way home for something to eat after dropping the car off in Mold!! My god I'm glad we did, the food was top notch and cooked to perfection, great atmosphere and brilliant hosts, the wife wasn't expecting such a wonderful experience from a small country pub in the middle of nowhere as she explained it lol 😂 Richard and Karen you've nailed it again, well done 👏

We had a lovely meal and we had our motor parked up. our young puppy managed to escape and went into the bar bit were apparently he was just being a puppy saying hello to everyone, i was told the landlord picked him up by his scruff..fair enough... he was yelping and crying and he just threw him out the door... luckily we were frantically looking for him and there.. otherwise he could easily of been run over by cars travelling far too fast on the country roads... He knew exactly who owned him as we had all been in the pub with our dogs and spent over £100 on food... certainly wouldn't of hurt to give us a shout and we would of got him.. and apologised. Supposed to be dog friendly... the lady who told me how my poor pup was treated was appalled and i felt sick hearing it all... we will not be returning and neither will they apparently. 😔🐾😔🐾

A beautiful authentic pub with a roaring fire. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Amazing food at excellent prices. Well worth a visit.
