The Cafe at Abakhan in Flintshire

Dog friendly.Although the doors say “No dogs (except guide dogs) there is a dog area inside the cafe, as well as seating outside. Dog treats and water bowls are available.

It's not bad but if u carry cash forget shopping here card only not everyone has a card or some people rather carry cash this should be changed

Just passing on a day out and stopped to have a look around. Shame we couldn't take our well behaved dog round the craft centre so we only had a coffee before leaving. Pleasant staff in cafe ,coffee was average. Food did look appetising.

The fish and chips were excellent, after just a couple of minutes queue to order and 15 minute wait for food on a busy lunchtime, which was worth it given the freshly prepared dishes. Soft drinks weren't the cheapest but no worse than at a pub lunch. Two happy chaps well fed, while waiting for the fabric shopper in the family to complete their shenanigans next door.

Spectacular Fish and Chips I'm telling you the price deserves it. It was absolutely delicious 😋 the fish was perfectly cooked and battered and the chips where mind boggling I still don't understand how they get their chips shaped like they do it is mind blowing. The service was very good and helpful. The tables even though I didn't sit at one near the shop looked very nice and clean. At a hefty price of £12, £10 for the fish and chips and £1.85 for a Pepsi Max is totally worth it

The afternoon tea at the Cafe is superb!! Best one yet!! Delicious sandwiches and so many tasty cakes to choose from. There was so much we had to take some home in a doggy bag! Never had a bad meal. Plenty of options for everyone. The carvery bap is next on my list to try as I have heard it is amazing!! Also, they sell some great plant pots just to the side of the cafe and recently they have a guy on site selling gorgeous Christmas wreaths and trees!!! Definitely a must over the festive period.

Good Cake & Coffee. Welsh rarebit is great! Refreshing to see some traditional foods on the menu.

Find it very confusing to arrive at a cafe at 1 o'clock on a Wednesday afternoon and most of the food had run out, especially when there is limited choice on the menu to begin with. When we asked if we could just have a portion of chips, the staff weren't exactly helpful or apologetic and said this was not possible, even though chips can be served with most of the meals. How a "cafe" can run out of food at 1 o'clock in the afternoon is obviously due to poor management, especially when you are not accommodating in providing alternatives. We were left extremely disappointed by our visit.

I had a fantastic lunch there recently. Obviously the covid situation is making life difficult for the cafe but I had the baked potato with cheese/beans and a side salad and it was great. Lovely well cooked potato and generous topping and side salad. And so hot too. Can’t fault it. Welsh tea as well.... cracking effort Abakhan.
