The Crown Inn in Flintshire

Came in for a meal on Saturday with a small group we ordered a wide selection off the menu and we weren’t disappointed the food was absolutely amazing would highly recommend to anyone staff very friendly and efficient 10/10 from me !!

Seriously don't know what's happened but our latest visit was such a disappointment! To begin with I was sneered at when ordering drinks, 2 pints of Guinness (what's wrong with a girl drinking Guinness?!!) The place actually felt dirty and looked really scruffy, especially where we were seated to eat. We have always praised the food but this time it was just awful and to be fair we left most of it, didn't have the heart to tell the poor waitress as it isn't her fault. Had planned to eat and stay for a few drinks but we couldn't leave quick enough. So disappointed, don't think we will return.

We ate in this pub in the past and decided to try it again as we were in the area .. in the past it was a nice place with a good atmosphere.. how things change. It seems dull and dirty and the food was poor. The steak was tough and tastless the duck starter was like cat food .. very disappointed

Solid menu and food's alright. Atmosphere, outdoor seating and dog-friendly policy are what make this place great. Vegetarian/vegan menu has several options. Lasagne, curry, etc.

Excellent food, great service

Excellent service, beautiful food. We will definitely be back. Special thanks to the lady that served us and reccomended the pork belly, it was the best I've tasted. The Tomahawk steak went down very well with the other half. Thank you

I highly recommend The Crown Inn. We had an amazing meal.We received a warm welcome. All the staff were lovely, really helpful and friendly.The food was so delicious. I had duck spring rolls for starters and my husband had sweetcorn fritters. We both had duck for our mains which was cooked to perfection. The dessert was tasty too. I had the cheesecake which was a large portion and delicious. My husband had the waffles and dared to pinch a bit of my cheesecake.I highly recommend this lovely country pub. We will definitely be going back.

Went for quite drink on our way home with my wife, we hadn't booked a table, cos we only wanted a drink. We where directed to a "table" in a cold annex, although there where tables in the lounge free.....okay I understand they might have been booked, but as we where only there for a drink and a recce as to future visits......staff not too friendly, almost as if we were in the way...... won't be going back .....very disappointed........

Called in here for the first time after a walk . Warm welcome for us and our dog! Service was very good and our meals were excellent. Fresh ingredients, home-made. Family had fish and chips and I had roasted hake. All cooked perfectly. Will definitely visit again.
