The Gold Cape in Flintshire

Great place lovely outdoor area. Only gripe is for wheel chair users. No steps to enter from front + disabled toilet easily Accessible. However in order to access outdoor area there are steps so impossible without going back out the front entrance + walking all round the local shops to the back entrance. Had to then do it in reverse to use disabled toilet. A small ramp would have made a world of difference. Other than that it's a lovely place.

Not a bad place to meet friends on a Sunday afternoon, attention to detail by the staff wouldn't go a miss with food orders.

Positives: Quick service, staff friendly and polite. Food tasty. Nice beer garden at the back.Negatives (same for all Wetherspoons): Minging sticky and stained menus. Tables are sticky/tacky. Chairs have suspicious stains. Hot food served on cold plates.

Called in, after jubilee Street entertainment in mold. Good choice of food, great quality and polite staff. Would definitely eat here again.

Great value for money, plenty of ale and gin choices and bar staff really helpful. Good selection of drinks for children too. Can be noisy but overall for a quick family drop in it was great.

They need to bring back the rule where kids under a certain age were banned from entry. Too many bloody kids running around screaming with their parents not giving any control or discipline. It ruins it most of the time. Tables quite sticky from beer, needs a refurbishment as it is looking out dated. However breakfasts are amazing. At meals chips are cold or under cooked, barely crispy and lumpy not fluffy. But bring back the rule where kids are banned.

Too many kids running around with no control, screaming and ruining the place. I remember back in the day when kids weren't allowed in, what a shame they still didn't keep that rule. They do nice breakfasts, but there chips with their other meals are undercooked most of the time. Please bring back the no kids allowed rule.

delicious fish and chips. the fish here is way bigger than other wetherspoon pubs.

Average Wetherspoons, what you expect really. Drinks and food are well priced, had a sitting area but wasn't open during my visit. Plenty of indoor sitting

Staff were great and really helpful but OMG the place looks so tired and in need of updating and some TLC. Food wasn't great as they didn't have loads of items. The beer was off due to the cooler not working. Very disappointed as we had travelled some distance to meet people there.
