Ainsworth's Traditional Fish & Chips in Gwynedd

They said they were good when we went in to order last night and they were right. Freshly cooked to order, beautifully cooked fish, light crispy batter with no layer of slightly uncooked batter that sometimes spoils a good fried fish. Excellent chips too. Really deserve 5 stars.

Brilliant fish and chips. All freshly cooked. We had Haddock, chips and mushy peas on 30/04/2022, and we cannot recommend highly enough.

Checked the reviews before visiting here on a mini break as there are several chippies to choose from. Everything was freshly cooked to order and tasted great. It's take away only but that suited us. Great staff too. Would highly recommend.

First class fish and chips. You have to wait for them to freshly cook the fish which is exactly what I want. Lovely friendly staff. Delicious.

The cleanest fish and chips shop I have ever been into, I was impressed just looking through the window- it looked like an Apple store 😂Ran by a lovely team of women who made conservation as they cooked your order right in front of you!We had a member of the group with a dairy allergy and the lady cooking couldn’t be more accommodating! She went into great detail about the different batter she would use and if it was okay to cook it in the same pan etc.Won’t bother trying any other fish and chip shop now, this one is too good 😊

Only giving 1 star as I can’t give none!Ordered this evening a fish cakes, a piece of cod, medium chips, curry sauce and mushy peas.There were 4 people in front of us waiting and we were told it would be 15/20 mins.We waited 40 minutes and it wasn’t even that nice.Absolute joke.

These were very good chips. Well cooked, not greasy and plenty of them. Not many bad bits either. Easy to recommend to others.

Absolutely awful serviceCame in to order 19 fish and chips and was greeted with poor attitude and reluctantly wanted to serve.We asked for a menu but they didn’t have one only the one on the board behind them and they wouldn’t let us in to see it.We entered the shop to view the board eventually and was sent right back out again even tho there was no customers in the shop.We left without placing order and went further down the road.We have reviewed the correct shop and can describe the staff as a female in a black top a rude female member of staff in a shirt and a male member of staff in a shirt stood by the fryer who told us to go online.Once again this is the correct shop we have reviewed
