Can’t really pass comment on the food as we never made it past an extremely rude women who stopped us in our tracks and clipped a rope across the door, saying in a very aggressive manor that we would not be allowed in until the tables had been cleaned. I understand what she is saying but there is a polite any friendly way to speak to people. I definitely won’t be setting foot in there again and wouldn’t recommend that anyone else does if you don’t want to be humiliated.

Called in for coffee yesterday ..Had to wait in the doorway there was a rope across the door .Took a while for eye contact with the assistant waiting on tables..We asked if we could come in for a drink ,we were asked if we would be eating we said not sure till we looked at the menu! ..reluctantly we were let in..Our drinks came to the table in the space of what 10-15 of us sitting there 15 people stood at the doorway and no one went to them so they walked away ... Never been in an establishment like it ..Although the lady clearing /cleaning tables was nice enough..Won’t be visiting again ...Although it was spotless inside and nice decor ..Customer service needs to be worked on I’m in the same environment and this experience wasn’t good..

I called in here for my breakfast yesterday as my guest house didn't do food. Lovely friendly people running it and a really great breakfast with good portions... quite probably going to call in again today for another before I head off on my travels.

Lovely little cafe for lunch and drinks. Well decorated. Staff are friendly. The salad that comes with the Welsh rarebit is impressive. Highly recommend although expect a bit of a wait on food.

We stumbled upon this lovely cozy place doing the National Trust walk. The Welsh Rarebit (from a family recipe) was phenomenal as was the beautiful salad served with it. Totally worth the wait (it takes 20 minutes to prepare). The service was friendly and very accommodating (we took our Labrador and kids). And Welsh cakes were such a treat. Our thanks to the staff for a lovely lunch.

This is great. Little cafe with lovely staff, the food is excellent, you do have to wait a bit of time for it but it is well worth it when it arrives. The Welsh Rarebit is the perfect brunch to fill you up, lovely loose leaf tea and coffee in a uniquely decorated room.

Maybe a bad day. Coffee was hotish milk and forgotten cake for 1 of our party. Friendly staff but waited for ages for order wasnt busy. Cakes were nice though not massive helpings but filled the gap nicely. Would I visit again plenty more choice.... maybe a bad day!

I almost don't want to tell you about this little gem, but I cannot keep it all to myself. They serve the most delicious food, all handmade by the cafe staffs. The cakes are fantastic, really moist and a good selection. They cater for allergys and have a good range of gluten free. The staff are happy and helpful.Try the Welsh Rarebit

Really great little café. Certainly the best coffee I've had in Barmouth, with a good choice of savoury and sweet stuff to eat. Great service and dog friendly. A must visit if you're a tourist here for a week or two.
