Lovely view from the terrace, good fresh food and friendly staff. Good exhibition on Cadr Idris, films in Welsh and English.

·

Nice cup of tea and a very good Victoria sponge. Several picnic benches and a friendly robin who at the crumbs.

Nice looking place, in a lovely location. But as others have said, customer service needs some work. I popped in on my way up Cadair to top up my water bottle and buy a snack for the mountain. It's not unusual for places like this nowadays to have a free "drinking water" tap; I guess many places realize it's an opportunity to generate further custom.Upon asking if I could get some tap water, I was first told "no because the water isn't clean enough to drink", which then changed to "the river supplies us and five farms, so if we gave it out, there wouldn't be enough for everyone"; that did give me a giggle at-least. If you don't want to give out tap-water, just say it as it is.Needless to say, I decided to skip on buying the snacks, left with a smile on my face, and collected the water myself from the river behind. Lovely water, I just hope I didn't leave the village dry by taking 500ml.

Absolutely loved meeting Arthyr! He is a magnificent baker and cook and a lovely human to chat to. He made us feel so welcome as tourists and I assure you, his food is absolutely amazing!! I have so much admiration for someone who can produce so much fresh, beautiful food every day! He works very hard. I didn't get to meet Sarah. There is also a very large range of water, soft drinks, teas, coffee, milk (soya, whole, skimmed, coconut) and offers gluten free sandwiches and treats too. We had some delicious sausage rolls, pasties and cake. We can't wait to be back! Diolch yn fawr! See you again next year :) Sarah and Daniel xx

Absolutely amazing little cafe. We randomly went off route to visit the toilets in the carpark and decided to head on up to the cafe to try and have some lunch and we were not disappointed. The guy running it was a true gent and made us all the tastiest rolls and cakes, the coffee was also beaut and the views are stunning. Not only waterfalls surrounding us but a great view of part of the Mach loop. Just epic

After a long ride we were pleased to see " cafe open" signs. Pulling onto the car park and seeing more open signs we payed for parking and walked up to the cafe. A lovely looking environment. On aproching the door youcould imagine the disappointment at finding the cafe closed....I'm sure turning a sign round when not open is not that hard and would let people know before paying for parking and would be a simple consideration

Enjoyed refrigerated drinks on the picnic tables after friendly owners served a group of us despite it being closing time. Owners even offered to recycle the rubbish afterwards. Very impressed!

We stopped at the tea room after a hard days walking on cader idris. Such friendly service and the best home made Victoria sponge I have had in a long time. Thoroughly recommend 😊

·

Beautiful views and near a waterfall, great place to hang out, and take the load of 🙄

Great location, lovely surroundings, friendly staff. Only had coffee and cake there and it was great. Impressed by the choice on the menu for a small tearoom. Seating inside and outside. Also information on display about the mountain and short film for children about legends of the area.
