Cadwaladers Porthmadog in Gwynedd

2 visits here during the week, the ice cream was worth it. They only take card payment now though. Still its a good place to treat yourself.

Very allergen friendly place :) vegan and gluten-free ice-cream, they even opened up a new batch for me and cleaned all the tools.

Had a really nice New Year's Day light lunch here. Staff were rushed off their feet, but the service and food was brilliant. Very professional... and much nicer staff and food than Costa.Lot down the street.

Very grateful that the café was open for breakfast a couple of days after Christmas. Pancakes were fine although they had cooled down a little by the time we ate, and children’s porridge was a little dry. But minor quibbles and would come again!

On entry was told the it was table service.. After waiting 20 minutes and with nobody coming over, I approached the counter to place my order, which to be fair arrived promptly. The food was OK so decided to order desert (2 Sundaes) again had to a make my way to the counter to place an order.. these took half an to arrive but there was no where to put them as our lunch plates were still on the table, the waiter managed to just about squeeze them on the table amongst the lunch plates / drinks, then disappeared off.. I was left to move the plates myself on to another table, which wasn't an issue as we were the only customers in there!! Average food with poor customer service!

Understaffed when I visited but they did their absolute best to make sure everyone got their order as quick as possible. Nice staff, enjoyed their dairy free hot chocolate. They have a pretty decent selection of vegan options.

Check out their new millionaire waffle. Its a huge portion. Nice, clean and comfortable little place in the heart of Porthmadog. So many ice cream choices includes Vegetarian, vegan, dairy free and gluten free range. They've got teas and coffees as well. Visit them if you are around. You'll be happy

Visited a couple of weeks ago for an Icecream Sundae, and wife had the Gluten Free cake. Very impressed with the GF cake, however the Sundae was not as big as I was hoping for, nearly £7 for not even 2 scoops and the trimmings.

The gluten free range here was fantastic and the staff were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble, they got a fresh ice cream out of the freezer and fresh marshmallows to make sure they weren't contaminated and the staff member washed his hands and scoop before touching anything. The ice cream was so good and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend Cadwaladers.
