Cook's in Gwynedd

The fish and chips are expensive. The portions are small. The quality of the fish and chips is poor as we found the food repeated on us. The service was quick as there was no one in front of us.

Not the worst I've ever had. The second worst. Chips so dry you could start a campfire with them. Fish not much better and insultingly expensive. An unforgettable meal for all the wrong reasons.

got some chips from here ... normally chippie chips are fried not from here ! over priced £4.09 for large chips which were hard , cold, burnt from what seems a air frier . if I wanted oven chips wouldve bought a bag myself instead of the overpriced product Cook's dish out

Chips are horrible dry and tasteless and way over priced don't eat here when owing to haven't save your money and do your own chips in the caravan/lodge

Was almost put off the place because of the reviews, but after eating from here, I have no idea what anyone is talking about! The food was lovely and portions were great, especially the children's meals. Would order again easily!

Never again, don't waste your money. This is supposed to be a large fish and chips, we've had better at other resorts and it's not worth the £21 I've just paid. The batter is like pancake mix and it's over cooked, got mushy peas and curry to go with it and instead we got gravy. Staff need to wash their hands before serving customers and handling food especially when you've just come in from outside and hung your coat up. It's had to go in the bin it's that bad 👎

Absolutely loving our stay at Hafan y Môr and can't wait to return.However our meal from Cooks Fish & Chips needs highlighting.These were astoundingly bad fish and chips. The Chips were overcooked, dry and tastless. The fish was also dry with stodgy batter that was also very dry.We were very hungry but we couldn't eat much of our meal. I think drowning it in gravy or curry sauce would have made the whole thing more palatable.On the plus side the serving staff were really nice, the large fish was a really good size and the whole thing was well packaged and bagged up.In conclusion though It was a total waste of money and I couldn't recommend Cook's Fish & Chips.Hopefully in response to the amount of negative reviews this place has received, things will improve at some point in the future.

Lived in north east coast for many years - I have had fish and chips from countless places. Cook's is without a doubt the worst I have ever had. Every detail is awful! Fish is dry, batter is soft and chewy like uncooked pancake batter, coke was flat, chips were poor. Do not go here. Save yourself the cash and just eat straight out of the garbage.

I have never tasted chips so disgusting. Burnt dry flat not sure if they were made out of potato. Looked like they had been re warmed from the day before. I don't know where they get the pies from but again not the best. Poor quality over priced avoid avoid avoid

It was fine. Food came out hot, fish and scampi was good but chicken was a bit over cooked.
