Middle of the road chippy. Looks like this guy needs some older experienced staff on that don’t get so flustered when it’s busy. Have had better for a couple quid cheaper. Never seen such small curry pots and not many chips with ya fish. Last resort really when no other option takes ya fancy.

Excellent. Highly recommended. Nice chips, generous portions. Friendly proprietor. I must remember to ask him next time we visit why you can't get rock salmon and skate any more.

Really tasty chips every time. Reasonable price and portion size. We often stop here on the way through and eat the chips by the nearby river.

We waited 30 minutes in the street outside for our order - fortunately it wasn’t raining . There were only two people working. One was packing food AND handling money- didn’t feel COVID safe to me. The food was was undercooked and anaemic. Chips were greasy and again under cooked - not sure how they got their better reviews. Also they say they are open 5-8 pm, but they stop taking orders at 7.30 pm - guess they expect to make people wait 30 minutes for their orders every night!!

We found this fish & Chip shop using Google so wanted to thank Google a& to post a great review for the Cosy Takeaway in Dolgellau. We had 'fish chips and mushy peas. Popular, busy Fish and Chip Shop. Customers were following Social Distancing by going in placing order and waiting outside. Orders were cooked fresh and our Fish, Chips and Mushy Peas were well worth the wait.Batter was crispy and not greasy at all. Chips were golden, slightly crispy on outside, buttery and fluffy on inside with no bad bits or eyes. Mushy Peas were delish. All in all the best Fish and Chips we've had in both England and Wales. Absolutely Excellent with friendly banter between customers and staff. A*****
