Camping and a pint!While hiking past we stopped for a pint, loved it that much we decided to stay longer and ended up camping at the site owned by the pub. We pitched and returned later for a few more drinks and a meal.Mid week it was quite but I know it's busy at weekends and school holiday or more popular times so best book a table.The food was amazing especially the fish 🐠 pie 😋 - a good pint too.We stumbled back to the camp site which is 15 minutes away... Had a great evening ☺️

Nice place but they are only really interested in your money.Nice food but small portions. We had main and desert and we're still hungry after a long day walking.They also shut a bit early.

Absolutely first class. Outside and main bar a lovely quaint traditional pub. Through to the restaurant and a lovely lovely area, beautifully furnished. Had a top class meal there and the staff and quality of food was exceptional. We were staying at Snowdon base camp only a 20 minute walk away next to a lake with Snowdon one side and think the nantlle ridge the other. Absolutely breathtaking. Would recommend the cwellyn arms for both food and a wonderful welcoming staff. The campsite was just perfect too. Just got back and want to be back there. Thanks everybody x

Couldn't fault it.Gorgeous and beautifully set pub in Rhyd Ddu (at the start/end of the Rhyd Ddu track). Food was excellent, tasty and well portioned. Just what you need after a long day of walking.Pub was warm and homely and the owner/staff are welcoming. The hostess was incredibly attentive and efficient.Toilets spotless.The pub is owned/run by the same onwer of Snowdon Base Camp (campsite) 15 minutes down the road so great place to pop in for dinner. I would advise booking in advance as it is a very popular place.We had:Baked brie to start (shared)Lamb main and bangers and mash mainSticky toffee pudding for dessert (shared)2 drinks.It all came to around £65-70.

Stopped for a pint after hiking, it was a little busy but the food was fantastic and the service was top notch. Highly recommend!

Amazing food coming out fast for hungry hikers - fabulous log fires to warm up after a long hike - and everyone was so incredibly nice! 200% recommend!

Great people, who have gone out of their way for me when I was stuck when my vehicle broke down. Julie and Graham are almost like family to us. We have been regular visitors to this pub for many years and love it! Beer/cider kept well and great food! And as for the campsite....you'll struggle to get better!

I’ve been going to this pub for about 30 years now first time I went there I was about 6 years old and I’ve been back every year since absolutely perfect after a long days hiking nice big open fire beer is 10 out of 10 food and the service is always great

Great little bistro-pub!Friendly&helpful staff, amazing food!Not huge number of main courses but seabass is excellent, lamb and duck cooked greatly, chicken tikka masala very good as well, beef burger spot on!Deserts are excellent, can't find any faults!Many thanks!

We have just eaten an evening meal and had a few drinks. The pub is nice inside, with a choice of tables or sofas. The staff are lovely. The food - both mains and deserts - were delicious; the chef knows his trade. Two courses for two people, washed down with a couple of pints each came to about £60. I'll happily go again.
