Not sure why this was listed as a 4 star hotel. There was no breakfast despite it saying so on google, the building was undergoing major reconstruction and the room was cold, either because the heating hadn't been turned up or because the window wouldn't fully close. Poor value for ÂŁ100 a night, the practical considerations weren't outweighed by the friendliness of the proprietor which just came across as him trying to compensate.

I was only delivering a door but the reception I got was fantastic thanks to Lynn for the lovely coffee and the offer of something to eat if that is what you get for just delivering I can only imagine that the service would be for when you stop over would be fantastic and also close to the beach....

Had a lovely three nights at The Egryn with the family. Booked three rooms all of which were spotless and comfortable - amazing hot water in the showers. Breakfast was served to our rooms due to Covid rules but it all worked really well thanks to the hard work Mike and the team have done to ensure hygiene measures in place. Mike is lovely and hospitable. We will be returning again and again over the coming months. Thoroughly recommend staying here.

Mike & Lynne were great hosts. Mike was courteous and very helpful with places to visit and eat, advising us to book certain restaurants in advance as they're always full. Our double room (no. 6) was clean with a great view of the sea. Breakfast incorporated continental breakfast followed by a tasty cooked breakfast which Mike happily changed to meet my partner's requirements. Although we never met Lynne, my partner arranged with her to make a surprise birthday cake which was lovely and much appreciated, a nice touch. A lovely stay in a lovely part of Wales.

Very warm welcome from the owner when we arrived.Lovely cosy room with sea view, nice and quiet even though it was on a road.Unfortunately for us the mattress was very soft, and we didn't sleep well because of it... we sleep on orthopaedic at home.We were able to help ourselves from the bar as the owners were out for the evening which was very trusting of tbem!Easy walking distance to the town where we had a nice meal.Breakfast was lovely, with a really good choice of cereals, fresh fruit or a menu of freshly cook food.We will definitely stay here again!

The owner was very patronising and condescending at breakfast which gave a negative view of the whole experience. There was no introduction of who he was and he didn't think to ask whether we had had a good night sleep or a general warm reception that you would expect. He was talking as if we should know what to do at the breakfast service and was quite rude. He said things like 'are you even vegan though' when I asked for the vegan sausages which were on the menu. When I questioned what tea he had brought to the table he said I had lowered 'the decorum' by taking he tea bag out of the pot and was very snappy with me. My fiancé and I were made to feel very embarrassed and it was rather unpleasant. The food was good and the room was small but nice, but unfortunately the whole experience was clouded by this owner who obviously takes for granted the need for good customer service and genuinely being a nice person to his guests.

I loved it, lovely clean room (although a little bit snug), nice big window but think it would be nice to have a net curtain up as felt a bit exposed! Owner was very friendly, can't wait to return in the spring/summer to explore North Wales a bit more. Would definately recommend..

Just stayed here earlier this week for a night and it was really lovely. Cosy, clean welcoming and fab breakfast in the morning. Very close to the main small town and within walking distance to beaches. The lovely little break I needed at the last minute and would definitely recommend this place.

Absolutely amazing place, we called after 8pm looking for a room for the night, and everyone really did bend over backwards to make sure everything was perfect for us with no notice at all! The room was warm and cosy and the bed was luxurious! Beautiful sea view out of the bedroom and bathroom windows, and of course the breakfast, it was perfect! Will definitely be coming here again :-)
