Fu's Cantonese Restaurant in Gwynedd

Excellent food, great hosts, wonderful location.

So we were staying at brynteg caravan park and with the food not being so great our friends booked this for a Saturday night for 9 people. We didn't know what to expect as we had only seen the takeaway menu but believe me this was by far the best Chinese any of us had been to. Arrived to a great setting at the harbour and greeted very nicely by the staff. So i wont bore you with extras but the food was amazing all 9 of us really enjoyed ALL of our food nothing was short of exceptional. For 9 of us with 3 round of drinks was £210 with all starters and mains. Thank you again it was brilliant

We have been visiting for years and always enjoyed it, sadly on our last visit the food was still great but the service was poor. We had a baby with us and we were told they only had one high chair which was already being used, seems odd for such a large restaurant. We were advised we could go to another restaurant next door and ask if we could borrow one of theirs!We ended up having the baby on our knee as we didn't feel comfortable asking next door.Nobody came to check if we were enjoying the food and when we asked if the leftovers could be boxed up they brought out boxes and we were expected to box them up ourselves,we didn't mind but it did feel unprofessional.

As always the food was delicious and the service 1st class. Lovely place to eat.

The food was delicious, fresh and hot. Ordered a takeaway and picked up. I recommend the quarter duck with pancakes. Outstanding.

We visited Fu's last Friday night pre theatre. It was the first time in 4 years since we had been. We were greeted by a friendly gentleman who showed us to our seats. It is a large impressive restaurant & was spotlessly clean.The menu was extensive & our queries regarding the meals were explained to us by a very helpful, friendly & efficient young lady.We decided to share a portion of prawn crackers which came in a huge bamboo basket- they were lovely & excellent value for money.Our meals were delicious & generous portions - chicken & mixed mushrooms with fried rice & a mixed meat chow mein.I would highly recommended it & will look forward to our next visit.

Fantastic restaurant with delicious food and excellent staff. I was in Caernarfon for two nights in march and ate there both nights the décor and food were superb and the staff were super efficient and helpful would definitely recommend. I will be returning as soon as possible

Everyone talking about Fu's and possibly one of the best Chinese Restaurants I've been to in North Wales. Friendly staff, fast table service, food was spot on. Highly Recommended.

Worst takeaway I’ve ever had. I don’t know what they put in the spring rolls to make them so mushy and terribly tasting. They seem to put the same horrible sweet and sour sauce on top of every dish no matter what you order, and their salt and pepper chips are ok…but still the worst salt and pepper chips I’ve ever had.Oh and the curry sauce is creamy and sweet chilli sauce. NOT anything like curry sauce.It was very reasonably priced and I still feel ripped off. Can’t even eat half of it.Not to mention when I walked in they took a minute of standing around and chatting amongst themselves before asking if I needed anything. I can’t believe they’re still in business!!

We had the banquet for 4 and it was fantastic, every course was excellent quality and quantity. The service was both polite and prompt. We were even given containers to take leftovers away.We would definitely eat here again should we be in the area.
