Lakeside Cafe in Gwynedd

Good old fashioned simple cafe with great all day breakfast. Reasonable prices, good sized car/motorcycle park and lovely surroundings. Only one gripe was that the tea mugs were on the small side particularly after a long ride to get there... Will visit again.

WATCH OUT RANDOMLY CLOSES EARLY!I ran off the mountain to get here for a cuppa tea at 4:55pm!They were closed!So watch out! either the times on Google are wrong or this place randomly closes early when it feels like it ☹️ Disappointed doesn’t even cover it!I even called ahead 10 mins before to check they were still open. No one answered.So who knows! Anyone’s guess if you’ll get here and find it’s open or not!Photo taken after I’d already walked around the entire building trying to see if there was another door.

Nice place, friendly staff great views, even though its out of the way and carpark is visible, I had something stolen off my motorcycle.

Decent breakfast. Staff make every visit a pleasure.

Second visit in 3 years with a group of mates. Cycle up dam first then down for a fantastic breakfast. However leaving had a mechanical problem which rendered my bike unrideable. Wandered back to cafe. Staff and customers were fantastic. One member of staff contacted a local taxi firm and a customer offered me a lift to a cashpoint. Lakeside Cafe saved the day twice, once with a fabulous breakfast and secondly their assistance to get me back to our accomodation. Service ,food and customer care at its best. Hope to see you again sometime.

One of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time. Excellent quality bacon, lovely fried bread and even though I'd never normally ask for tinned tomatoes on my breakfast I'm now a convert. Good coffee too, excellent value for money

A nice little spot for lunch, or a coffee. Cakes are pretty good and the lunches looked nice. Be nice if there was a bit more choice between the two, for example scones or teacakes, but it's not a biggie. Pro tip: looks like it could get _very_ busy in the summer, so might be worth doing your planning...

Professional, friendly, very clean. Breakfast cooked to perfection & reasonably priced. Toilets facilities also available. Will definitely come back when in the area. Did I mention the views, what a gem of a place!!!
