Min-y-Mor Hotel in Gwynedd

Only used the Bar nd restaurant, had good food pleasant staff clean enough for the end of the day,sat n ate watching a stormy sea !!, very nice.

Really disappointed came here a couple of months ago for Sunday lunch and it was lovely very welcoming lovely food friendly staff etc so I wrote them a lovely review on Facebook, as we own a van in Barmouth we are down here quite often so this evening we booked a table for 5 for dinner after walking in and waiting to be told where we were seated waited around 5 minutes to not even be acknowledged by anyone although they could see us we eventually asked and the bar man pointed at the table we sat down and waited around 15 minutes with still no acknowledgement no offer of a menu although staff looked at us and turned back around numerous times and just ignored us and saw to other people who had walked in after us, making us feel very awkward after the lady looking at us another time and turning around and walking off not even a “ I will be with you shortly” which we wouldn’t have minded as we know people get busy we decided to walk out and heard the staff say “oh they’re going “ yes we were after being made to feel very unwelcome complete let down after I praised the place to my friend who was down with us, was different staff to the first time round who where much more pleasant. Not good ended up going up elsewhere

We stayed here for the weekend after being recommend by a friend , and upon arrival staff very friendly and made us welcome. Hotel is looking a bit tired , but room was very clean and lovely white fluffy towels in bathroom . Our dogs loved their stay too as we weren t treated differently to other guests . Breakfast was excellent and evening meals were equally as good , albeit you do need to book a table .. . Parking was good and the beach is just across the road . Wonderful for dog walking . Only down side was music played in the garden was a bit too loud. Definitely visit again.

Great location, staff were very warm and welcoming, food was excellent. I would recommend this hotel to any dog owners who want a short break or or holiday

Visited on a busy Saturday afternoon on a Bank Holiday weekend, just about managed to get two outside tables as it was very busy. Food was good value and tasty, and service was quick. Live band playing in the beer garden was a nice touch!

Stayed here for the weekend and would not stay again. We picked this as limited options for Dog Friendly places which is one of the only bonuses bar the breakfast.The rooms are okay, nothing special but fairly spacious, although you can hear everything outside and inside. The shower was awful, limited pressure and you either lost half your skin or ended up with hyperthermia, you’d be better off washing yourself in the sea. Our other family member’s room didn’t even have a shower.Music is played in the beer garden all day, and quite loudly too. This went on all the way until 9pm unnecessarily. We have a baby that needed naps and early ish bed times and this made our stay very difficult.We were also given rooms on the third floor, which for ourselves was okay, although for my mother with two dogs and no lift, taking them up and down the stairs for visits to the toilet etc was a bit of a pain.Breakfast was really good, good choices of cereal and toast along with options of cooked breakfasts. Definitely the best part about this hotel.

Friendly staff, breakfast could have been better and the shower in my sons room was basically useless. Not the worst hotel I've stopped at but could perhaps do with a bit of care and attention. Visitors beware! If you book via Booking.com, as I did, the cost of your breakfast is not included. I paid 560 via Booking.com and received no breakfast, had I paid 560 to the hotel directly, breakfast would have been included. I don't wholly blame the hotel for this, they acknowledged that they get loads of complaints about this subject. Thing is, if a family of four stayed a week they'd have to pay an additional £266 for their breakfast, clearly, this is not want you want to learn when you start your holiday.

How this place has been given a 4+ star rating is beyond me, the beer garden looks about as inviting as Chernobyl and as most seafront establishments relies more on the view than the quality of food, drinks and in particular service.I must admit I wasn’t able to partake of the food or beverages as the middle aged well dressed and groomed barman, think Wayne Slob was too busy talking on the phone to Waynetta to bother to serve me, let alone acknowledge my presence, when I asked the question, “Is anyone serving?” I was met by a glare and Wayne then returned to his telecon.Whilst surveying the ales on offer I must admit nothing they had excited me, generic lagers and ales for the masses.I did wear my mask on entry but probably would have worn a mask in the vicinity of this particular barman. even if there wasn’t a virus.Dread to think what state the kitchen must be in?

Nice location for a pub which is dog friendly nice to sit out side and watch the waves from your table. But music was unwelcome and you didn't need it in afternoon.Good selection of beer and cider. The menu was a bit limited and a bit pricey for what you got.

Always a friendly welcome and never disappoints. We had a newly decorated room. Staff helpful. Fab location so close to the sea. Been back many times and will be many times to come.
