popped in for some grub. Tried out the wetherspoons app to order our food. Absolutely brilliant service. Food arrived just 10 minutes after I ordered the food. All the staff are really friendly too. I'd highly recommend The Pen Cob, and would definitely come back again.

Nice Wetherspoons, great staff all very friendly and accommodating to the young ones.Positioned in the heart of the town and across the road from the train stations.Mixed review about the food, had a few breakfast during the week I was there, only one day it wasn't great, basically served me a cold cooked breakfast, they were more than happy to replace it though when I asked so no long term dissapointment

Very busy so struggled to find a table. Food not to the usual Wetherspoons standard. Had mixed grill and everything was over cooked, even the peas 😖 Price was OK though and service good.

This was our first family holiday to Wales. We stayed at Haven holiday park. But we ventured out one evening and had a drink and a meal at this pub. I must say we had a very good few hours where the food was excellent, much better than the food we were having at the Haven camp. Not only that, the locals we very friendly and made us more than welcome. This establishment was excellent in every way.

A good wetherspoons in a central location with parking nearby and Infront of you're lucky. Service quick and efficient and the food is typical and hot. I specifically went there for the large gammon, egg and chips but could not find it on the menu.. we were a party of three and no-one could find it.

It's a Wetherspoons.. so you can't really go that wrong.Of course it's always a local, so those who don't look or feel "local"... get the look 🙄.. but it was a quick lunch stop before heading to check in.So all in all.. not bad.

Everything was too quick!Went in ar about 6 on Friday night. It was packed and we were lucky to get a table. The food arrived super quick and was fine, however, they came to clear the table before husband had finished eating band returned literally as he put his knife down. All felt very rushed, we felt processed rather than served. Staff were nice and friendly, pub was clean, just not a good experience.

Chips were cold. Onion rings were hard and soggy. Nachos were stale. We ordered a side of chips that came out cold and I asked for them to be reheated so they brought a fresh bowl out. They didn’t check that everything was ok with the meal cause we would have told them the chips on the meal were cold and the onion rings soggy and hard. When our plates were collected no one asked if the food was ok.Very disappointed as we paid for a lot of food that went to waste
