Pen Y Gwryd Hotel in Gwynedd

What a place! If you want a walking weekend away from all mod cons this is the place, surrounded by dramatic mountains and breath taking views this little gem is perfect, take a step back into history with all the artifacts from Edmund Hillary's quests to Everest. Staff are so so helpful and polite and excellent food prepared by the new chef. Definitely going back!!!

The Pen Y Gwryd was a home away from home for a walking weekend I planned with 8 other people. The service was so friendly, the food was great and the rooms were perfect. The walks nearby are epic and the natural beauty of the area is breathtaking. Will be back for sure.

Very interesting unusual Hotel features a kind of shrine to the 1952 Mount Everest expedition. Owners are kind and do a lovely ceremony for children who walk up Mount Snowden.

Very friendly vibe from a great team of professional staff, the hospitality was 2nd to none with beautiful meals served morning and night. The atmosphere there is so welcoming and we will definitely be back there to stay again. Great job guys!

Very beautiful and authentic place.Refurbished and clean rooms, at least the one we had.Friendly staff, delicious food. All you need for a perfect get away from city life.This place definitely deserves 5 stars.

One of the best experiences I've had not only was snowden great , the hotel/pub was brilliant , service incredible and food 5* , the only problem I have is why is this only a 2* !! It should be at least 4* !!!! Thank you and I'll be back !

Excellent venue for forays into Snowdonia. Staff friendly and knowledgeable about locality. Food was delicious but wait for the gong before going for lunch, dinner or breakfast! Would highly recommend stay.

What an amazing place full of charm and history. The location is fantastic, the food was great and the place is extremely clean! Thank you to Dove for making our time there special. We felt very welcomed!

Last minute stay for a day on Snowdon. The bar, kitchen and waiting staff really went the extra mile to ensure that, while we arrived late and started the next day early, we were fed, watered and provided with a packed lunch. They really care about their customers, taking time to talk about our plans.The Victorian bathroom was amazing. the original shower was more like a waterfall. Perefect start to a day on the mountain. Thank you.

Fantastic location right in the Snowdonia national park and walking distance to snowden peak. Really enjoyed our stay here staff were brilliant food was really good and nice pub. Also very reasonably priced. Nice cozy rooms and great atmosphere. Stayed an extra night as we didn't want to leave. Will go back some time in the future.
