A great place to stay in a beautiful part of Wales, the property is very spacious and well presented and didn't feel cramped with 22 of us staying for a long weekend. Will hopefully visit again in the summer months to make the most of the grounds and beaches close by.

We visited this beautiful gem a few weeks ago with a large group, place was tastefully decorated, nice and clean, the owners were also very friendly.

The most stunning place to stay. We hired the house for a family 80th birthday and were pleasantly surprised with the venue. The house and grounds are beautiful. We were greeted by the owners who went above and beyond to welcome us. We are considering re booking it was so lovely there. A stunning building and grounds. Certainly worth visiting again.

Excellent food, although the mini steak pie added nothing to the steak - except perhaps some unnecessary stodge! Staff very attentive, especially the younger crew members. We were asked to move seats on arrival, in favour of a larger party, which wasn't an ideal start but overall a very nice place. No idea as to rooms etc, as we only ate..

We went there for my birthday dinner and it was splendid. We almost didn't make it there because we tried to book too late. But the lady kept her promise and called me back as soon as there was a table. They had a set menu price for dinner, and we just pick what we like for amuse-bouche+3 course meal. Everything was meticulously prepared and each dish was well-balanced in their seasonal flavour. Portion might be an issue if you are more portly, but it was fine for me. Service was a bit 'old school' (drinks are served in a 'lounge' setting/garden before you are shown to your table) but extremely charming. Making the whole experience special.

I didn't stay at the hotel, only visited the restaurant. It starts with them serving you a drink and you can choose to sit either inside or outside. If the weather allows, sit outside as the views of their garden are stunning. Then you choose your dishes and they lead you inside to your table. Everything was very fresh and very tasty. The wine selection is also very good. I had the lamb, but my partner had the fish with risotto, which I tried and highly recommend.

We ate and stayed the night at this beautiful restaurant/hotel, the inside and outside are very pretty and well cared for.I knew the night stay would be to me an expensive treat, and it WAS indeed a treat, the room and view combined with the ever so polite service were all excellent. The dining was a delightfully stylish drawn out affair as mentioned in the previous review, a truly pleasurable experience. As you'd expect the food was of top quality but also actually good value and i'd add if you dont want to buy posh wines (they do have great wines) you dont have to, I drank g&t's and my partner the house rosey which we both enjoyed and believe me a good house rosey is a rare thing.Breakfast is also served in a similar style, top class ingredients cooked and served to perfection 👍. Shame to add a but, but for us too quiet, we like a little background music so you can talk about anything without being listend to, it was a romantic place after all. I cant and dont want to knock it, it was a deserved 5 star performance throughout. We will definately return here for another special evening when in north Wales again. What a pleasant place to eat or stay 😎👍

Food was an excellent quality. Maybe slightly let down by mains but the rest was super, and certainly for the price was excellent value (£42 for 4 courses). Wine list was super and of course the building, ambience and gardens are a delight to be in. Roaringly busy (got the last table with 2 weeks notice).

The service, welcome and friendliness of this restaurant is as good as it gets. We did enjoy the food and glad that we went, though on the basis of a generous gift token from a friend. The problem with the food is that once you have selected your dishes that when they arrive they are so complicated that you do not remember the constituent parts of what you have chosen and thus do not recognise what you are eating. This problem is compounded by very very small portions, with some of the individual elements of the dishes, which seemed very attractive on the menu, being so small as to be almost invisible. I think the idea is that the complete meal which with canapes includes 5 parts, makes up the whole. It is a strange way of eating a meal which is unsatisfying. But on the plus side all their fish and meat was of the highest quality and was perfectly cooked and there was, at least on the dishes we chose, none of the dreaded 'smears on the plate' or foams.. My conclusion is thus that though the cooking is highly skilled and the dishes clever and inventive it is ultimately pointless.
