We enjoyed an exquisite 3 course lunch in the restaurant last week, to celebrate my husband's birthday whilst staying at Pen y Bont. Each course was beautifully presented and tasted absolutely delicious. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and the added bonus is it is dog friendly. We shall definitely return when in the area again.

3 of us went out for food. The table was booked for 18:15pm but we arrived early. We were greeted by the staff who said it was OK and taken to our table. We had starters which I have to say 1 would have done for the 3 of us, we had duck fritters and monkfish tails. For the main course 2 of us had steak burger which was delicious hubby had the small fish and chips which was plenty. After a small break we had coffee and a cheese board between us. Highly recommended

Popped in for a meal on Thursday night. Staff very welcoming and quickly found a table for us and our dogs. Beer excellent. Menu small and quirky. Delicious Welsh cheese starter. Sea bream was cooked perfectly, fish and chips most tasty, food served promptly and was hot and well presented. The rhubarb selection desert was to die for......Nice and rhubarby! Lovely friendly place to eat staff helpful and accommodating, very dog friendly. Will be returning.

Was absolutely perfect, couldn't of asked for anymore. The waiter was amazing and nothing was too much trouble, honestly the best service from a waiter I've ever had. We had two very naughty beagles with us and they were incredibly dog friendly. The food was great, one of the best fish and chips I've ever had! This place was perfect, highly highly recommend 👌

Stayed here for a couple of nights to do some exploring and walking in the local area. Lovely accommodation, warm and comfortable, nice modern rooms. Restaurant is good, ate there on first evening, good menu and all well presented. Breakfast is very good, lots of choice from local ingredients. All in all a very lovely stay.

Visited while it was very quiet on a Sunday afternoon. Friendly and attentive staff ensured a very short wait between being seated and taking orders. The pork belly with noodles was exquisite. There was no music, but there was a large selection of interesting pictures.

Excellent stay all round wonderful staff they really make the place. Accommodated our dog just for an extra £10 and food cooked to perfection. I would recommend to anyone and be happy to return.

Welcoming hotel and restaurant in the centre of Bala. Rooms are of a good size, with all the amenities required. Having eaten at the restaurant on both evenings of our stay and had breakfast, the food is top quality, and the portions are very hearty. I think what stuck with me most was the hospitality we received by all the members of staff. Everyone who served us was friendly, approachable, and sorted any requests promptly with no fuss. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend either restaurant or the hotel.

I had a full on relationship with the food - it tastes fresh, tasty, seasoned beautifully. Their gravy is fantastic. Portions are generous. Their servers are absolutely lovely too!And its such a nice aesthetic inside. You can even bring your well behaved dogs inside which is a bonus!Oh and ask for their chocolate tart. You will NOT regret it.
