Didn't feel very friendly to tourists, heard the barmaid saying quite clearly she feels like slapping people who enter the pub through the wrong door, (think who's listening)this wasn't clearly signed anyway. Went in for a hot drink and got a bit of a frosty reception, I'm sure this is more of a reflection on the staff than the establishment but something to think about. 3 stars

I arrived late after a quality mountain day and managed to find an attractive clean room with fluffy white towel and beautifully clean bed linen. The bathroom needed soap but there was bath/shower gel and shampoo and it was very clean with an excellent modern shower. No breakfast. There is a little cafe over the road. They serve lunch and dinner and have a great welcoming pub down stairs where I had some olives and crisps and a glass of Shiraz. Top class front of house service by woman coordinating guest arrivals and bookings. Very civilised and welcoming experience. I would definitely return and stay again.

Came here with two dogs after a long walk. Plenty of space and very dog friendly. The food was quickly served, and very nice. There is only a choice of burgers, sandwiches or curries so it would depend if they're for you.The service was also incredibly friendly and they made a real fuss with the dogs which helps you relax with them. Shout out to Callum!I would recommend!

I haven’t been to the Prince in years (probably over 10 years now). I worked there for the first time for the Queen’s Golden Jubilee in 2002. I had a few great summers working there and spending time in Beddgelert. I live in Canada now, but I am so looking forward to visiting Beddgelert next year and my first stop will be the Prince Llewelyn. The very best of luck to the new management team.**Customers/guests, please be patient. It’s a very small village and its pubs fill up very quickly. You’ll still have a great dining experience even if you have to wait 😀

Sadly, I too suffered from the food lottery on Monday 11 April. We as two families on 1 table placed 2 orders, literally within a second of each other. However what and when it arrived was guess the plate! Initially a burger arrived, to which I thanked the waiter, only for 30 seconds later for the plate to be whipped away from me having already started eating. The waiter returned explaining it wasn't my burger but for the table behind me, where he then promptly delivered it to the lady sat there. Then my wife's cheese and onion baguette, well lets just call it a cheese baguette as it had all of 2 bits of red onion. Now this wouldn't be a problem normally, however what put it over the edge was the extremely long blonde hair hanging out the side. I returned the roll to the kitchen, in my head thinking no doubt we will get the same roll back, however I didn't think they would make it so obvious, by the time I arrived back at my seat, not 10 seconds later did the waitress arrive with what looked like the same sandwich......considering it took near 30 mins for the original to arrive I can only assume that this was the same sandwich. My order included 4 portions of chips, however only 3 arrived, granted I had forgotten to ask staff about the missing portion, because of the complete shock of the sandwich and service. Now our friends meal.......all I can say is the menu was limited for one with a gluten intolerance, so he chose what he viewed was a relatively 'safe' meal. What arrived had obviously been to the abattoir, touched a plate and was on its way the crematorium as was the egg the accompanied the gammon. I have seen flame grilled however the dehydrated black leather that laid on the plate was a new level! The only redemption for this place is its stunning exterior, location and Pint! The bitter was lovely and the cider tasted gorgeous.Safe to say the only reason we would return it to collect a refund

Only 1 star would be 0 if I could select 0. Prices for the food gave the impression of good quality food and service. How I was disappointed. When ordering the food we had to wait for a long time with the food coming out at random intervals. When one meal arrived I was surprised that it came with a free hair. The meal was replaced quickly with the hair being removed. When the final dish came out, the others at the table had to watch as they had finished due the lottery of meals being served. The gammon was certainly cooked and some more. It was well on its way to being cremated and on the way to heaven. As for the fried egg if that’s what it was was inedible. The best thing was with the pub was the fact the Wi-Fi was free. As a note the table near us also enjoyed the lottery of food being served and the added game of is this the vegan burger we ordered.Don’t eat here unless you like your meals like a lucky dip.RE: your responseI think you may have us confused just like the service to our table. We ordered twice in case your unable to do so that is 1 order than the second.I am not sure how hard or confusing the order was which was order 1 a burger, a cheese and onion baguette (which a filling of a hair gratis)and 4 portions of chips. (One never turned up must have been given to another table in the food lottery) the second order which came after the first order which in case you need help comes after 1 was an order of another cheese and onion baguette a gammon (very very well done almost completely dehydrated maybe it was going to the international space station) and a portion of chips. We were not offered free drinks (maybe you gave them to a random table as this seems normal).I believe you have is confused like your staff with another table.

What a lovely pub! The food was delicious and the beer was fantastic, but the staff, particularly Emma, made it more enjoyable. She was really lovely and friendly, and smiled throughout a rather confusing day when customers kept changing stables to sit in the sun. Would definitely recommend the pub.

Great pub which is open past 3pm on Sunday. We ordered the chips and onion rings and it was a good portion for 4 people. The Helles beer was superb. There is the main seating as you go in, on the right a room with extra seats and past the toilet is another room with seats and the beer garden with good mountain views.

Nice pleasant place, enjoyed the seating in the beer garden but the outdoor heating wasn't working and this would have been ideal in the freezing cold weather. Also got very crowded and as a result took a while to get served. Would definitely recommend!
