Restaurant at the Hotel Portmeirion in Gwynedd

Beautiful little village, with the paths through the woods and their collection of exotic trees a pleasant surprise. Even if you are not a Prisoner fan (which was why I went there) you will enjoy it.

I stayed in the Neptune Cottage in the Portmeirion village. The room was beautiful and modern. The village itself is amazing and worth a visit even if you’re not spending the night. I had food at Hotel Portmeirion, it was nice but small portions for the price. It cost £60 for a 3 course meal. The main course was a chicken breast and a carrot, nothing else. It’s worth a visit but you can get a lot more for your money elsewhere.

Great location and plenty to do for a romantic break. Heated outdoor pool with sun loungers, breathtaking views and walks. Breakfast was amazing and evening meal great too, we had the taster menu. Very clean and spacious room with great views looking over the estuary. Staff very friendly and helpful, would stay here again.

Although Portmeirion has other strings to its bow, I was particularly interested in the connection to the Prisoner. I was not disappointed. The whole experience was everything I had hoped for and more. Everyone was friendly and helpful and the service was excellent and the room was great. When I went to the 'Visitor Information' office and said "I want Information!" I was a bit disappointed when he said "yes, sir, how can I help?" Instead of"You won't get it!" But I guess he hears that sort of thing every day! I would thoroughly recommend the hotel and the park as a whole. We made a round trip of nearly 600 miles and it was well worth it.!

Unique experience staying for the evening. It allows you to access the village after its closed to general public letting you have a much more relaxed stroll around and makes for much better photo opportunities with very little other tourists around so pretty much can have the place to yourself.

Portmeirion is absolute heaven. We loved our day here, sadly couldn't get a room at the hotel as they were fully booked, so we stayed nearby. The only slight downer was the hotel bar refusing to serve me as we were non-residents (I have never heard of a hotel not serving drinks to non residents before!) - and even stranger, we were allowed to use the bar's terrace seating but would have to go up the hill to purchase drinks from the cafe and bring them back down again, which I was just not able to do physically. Thankfully a lovely couple who were staying there invited us to sit at their table and got us drinks, so we were able to finish the visit on a high with a drink, and lovely company, looking out onto that stunning estuary view.

We stayed 4 nights, at the village. The village got the wow wow 👌 factor. Beautiful location. Our experience, staff could not do any more for us, fantastic. Arrangements , cars banned from village, all car parking at the top. For residences electric buggies transported you up and down and around the village if requested, at any time. Various places to eat, a varieties of food , from fine dining plates or larger resturante plates, to cafes or icecreams. An out door heated swimming pool was available to residents. Porter service available at all times. We ate in all eateries, cafes fine, the Castle , larger plate resturante excellent, however our experience of the fine dining was not so good. Portions exceedingly small choice of menu also small and we were not impressed by quality or attractiveness on the plate.Venue also celebrates and hosts many weddings fantastic for wedding guests and bride and groom, however at times weddings took over the venue, and the peace and tranquility we had experienced at the begining of our stay was lost.I would recommend it highly to others but they need to know about the weddings and not to expect to much from fine dining.

Amazing little Italy, really feel like you away yet at home. Plenty to see around the town itself and wonderful sea side and woodlands walk with many beautiful trees imported form around the world. Despite the rainy weather, still plenty to explore. Yes you pay to enter, but upkeep cost like everything, so fair price for what you get. Amazing day out

Had the most fantastic time here...beautiful room and all the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The food blew us away so cannot wait to pay another visit . Would highly recommend 👌 Xx
