Sheeps and Leeks in Gwynedd

Wonderful food, lovely wine and friendly, knowledgable staff. Always a tasting menu, very atmospheric - and great value. Seven course tasting menu is £55 - and it's very high quality cooking. Relaxed but super slick operation, worth a trip.

An unsuspecting treasure.When you arrive you question the location and whether your in the right place.Then you walk into the kitchen and you see the propagators with herbs and mushrooms you know this chef cares about what he does.With a simple stripped back approach you have a journey of fine food with some signatures along the way.Toilets are clean but could do with a face-lift and downstairs could be warmer.This doesn't take away from the fantastic food and service. Great wine pairings and reasonable pricing will always go far.A must go for anyone wanting to have something alittle more.

Foody entertainment at its best. Novel but not outlandish. Unusual combinations well practiced and well thought out. Relaxed atmosphere.

What a fantastic experience! We had the 10 course tasting menu. Every course was exquisite and delicious. We have recently eaten at a Michelin starred restaurant and have to say I was not expecting Sheeps and Leeks to be as good. I am amazed that it hasn’t already been awarded a Michelin star.The restaurant itself is very understated but fine.However the food and the staff were fantastic. Can’t wait to return next time we visit Caernarfon!

One if the best places to eat in Caernarvon. Its a taster menu and it's lasts a couple of hours. Buts it's an experience as well as an amazing place to eat.

What an amazing experience. We had the 10 course, menu. This took from 6.45 to around 10.00, felt a little rushed towards the end. Each course was exquisite in both flavour, content and presentation. Each course individually presented to each table. There were pre starters, starters, fish, main a cheese course and dessert courses. The restaurant has seating for 20 which was cosy and you had enough space from the other tables. The serving on staff had to be exceptional knowledgeable about each dish, and were. This is an occasion meal and can easily recommend this to others. I would certainly try and book if I was coming back to caernarfon in the future.

Strangely unassuming from the outside, but can't recommend this place enough. The seven course tasting menu contained several of the best things I've ever eaten, and they have a good selection of wines as well. Lovely staff and great service too. It's a bit of an extravagance, but well worth it!

When the cutlery and the glassware sparkle back at you, it make you think you are in for something good and oh boy was it better than good. This was the best taster menu we have had in a long time and probably in the top 2. Loved the way the trainees came down and talked about the food. I highly recommend a visit but not on the days we are going back please. It's a shame the star rating only goes to 5.
