Sopna Indian Restaurant in Gwynedd

Fantastic food, ate from here twice in the week I was visiting wales. Quite popular on a Friday, so a bit of a wait but totally worth it

The staff was fantastic and the food was fantastic can't complain at all.

Really enjoyed the meal, was the best I have had for a while. Can't wait for the return visit

Firstly, a reference to my experience and hopefully the validity of the review. I travel extensively in the UK and have eaten in over 100 Indian/Bangladeshi restaurants and sample a wide range of dishes but stick to fairly staple sides to allow me to compare.Tonight I had the lamb balti madras, pilau rice and garlic naan. Absolutely superb. Great seasoning, appropriate level of heat AND looked good too. Rice decent enough, but an excellent naan, that could only maybe have done with a touch more garlic. In all honesty, I'd give this dish and Sopna (quick service, very friendly front of house) a 4.5, but seeing as some ridiculous reviews give a 1, it's a five star all the way. I only tend to leave actual reviews when the place deserves more than the rating it currently has and this place does. Wish I had the time to sit in and have a proper session.

Very disappointed with our take away this evening . Rice missing from our order. Chicken Balti that was tasteless. Chicken dry and a bit tough. Won’t be returning.

Didn’t eat in but went to collect a take away and the service and nature of the restaurant was lovely. Very welcoming and would definitely visit again if in this area. The food was lovely and not at all greasy like you get from some takeaways, lovely and fresh and tasted great!

Visitors to Snowden and needed a decent curry to help blow us up the mountain.. this curry house didn't disappoint!! Friendly staff and excellent curry which all four of us enjoyed a great deal. Would definitely recommend and will ve going back again on our next visit 👍

My husband and I visited this restaurant while on holiday. Our waiter although laughing, joking and talking to other customers was incredibly rude to us. Our menus were dropped on the table from some height, our plates were not placed nicely in front of us, when he had to speak to us it was through gritted teeth. He was even talking to other customers whilst at our table. I hope he recognises himself from this description so he knows how uncomfortable he made us feel, if not, we were the ones that were shoved in the corner at the back of the room window side. We will never go there again, there are far better restaurants with far better customer service close to where we stay.

Nice place, good stuff, really delicious food, I recommend for any one who is visiting North Wales "make sure include Sopna Tandoori Restaurant in his plane".
