The Antelope Inn in Gwynedd

Fantastic service. Amazing food. Our sons 15th Birthday party was a great success. Very impressed that he managed to eat 2 x double cheeseburgers and a chocolate fudge cake. A huge thank you to the staff at the Antelope for their brilliant service.

After an emotional day - my family and I were looking for a pub to have a drink and ideally a good meal, my dad remembered going to this pub as a young man and thought it'd be a good place to go.. Unfortunately, the Antelope wasn't the place for us. We were not welcomed, as we arrived we were told that we may not be able to have food and asked what we wanted. We told the barmaid we would just have a drink if food wasn't available: she sighed and said "if you can find a table that's not reserved". We found 3 tables close together, not reserved, and had our drinks. The pub was very quiet, so found it odd that they weren't able to take food orders. In the end, we felt so unwelcome that we decided to leave and instead called into a pub over the bridge: which was exactly what we'd hoped for, a proper British pub, very friendly and warm. The Antelope is in a good location, great views and easy to park: but we won't be returning. Perhaps it's because the Antelope is part of a chain that the staff didn't appear to have much care/ feel the need to be welcoming. Save your money and try the pubs over the bridge instead.

Stopped here for some lunch. Lovely pub, very clean and tidy. Staff were lovely and decent food as well.Also next to the Menai suspension bridge so ideal place to stop for lunch.

Has had revamp during lock down and is lovely. Staff are great and food is tasty and good value. All round great no pretensious pub.

Great food, piping hot, no long wait even on new years day. I had a problem with the app and was grumpy, but the staff member took my order for me and made my day better. Thank you so much, for your kindness. We will be back again x

We had a fantastic meals on new year Eve . Steak's was cooked to perfection. Great value for money. Will definitely return again soon.👍

Lovely waitress found a table for us to sit at and have a drink (before our allotted time for which we had booked). Excellent I thought..... However... it took over an hour for our food to arrive after ordering. Two of the meals were fine but the third was below standard. A dry piece of chicken (a jug of hot gravy might have saved the day) a teaspoon of undercooked peas and undercooked jacket potato (more time in the microwave needed?!). Definitely not value for money. To be fair they were very busy when we first arrived so perhaps this is more of a teatime venue than an evening meal? The staff were very pleasant, pity my food wasn't. Such a shame as the setting is lovely and I have fond memories of the place from years gone by.

Visiting the antelope Inn today, was going to have a great meal as ever, seemingly some technical issues in the kitchen some broken down appliances.... but nevertheless stayed for a few drinks. The Girl at the bar was great nonetheless. Albeit found the situation laughable. Hopefully will get to enjoy the food again soon ;)Many thanks all the same :D having a great time,.... chips of course is still on the menu 😎

Lovely view and friendly staff. Carpark is a payable one, but it's free to customers by entering your reg inside the pub.

Friendly and helpful staff. Not always easy to order food and drinks as Internet not brilliant, lovely location.
