Despite the 3-stars given, I think this would be a great place for dinner. However, we visited during lunch and had a limited menu, few of the options available which were listed on the board out the front. Furthermore, the online app is terrible, you’re best off ordering from the bar. A strong selection of ales nevertheless.

Excellent dining experience.Menu is really good, portions are massive. Warm friendly staff. It a perfect dinning experience.Go in walk through to the dinning area take a seat and order at the bar. You will love it.

Nice place, very busy, very large, loads of indoor and outdoor seating both front and rear. Staff very friendly, professional and attentive. Loads of locals here which I guess is a good sign. Plus loads of tourists like us. Reasonable prices, good quality and home cooked dishes. We ordered the wrong things so I can’t rav about the food - “famous welsh pie” is a cottage pie basically, and the “seafood chowder” is very heavy with garlic and cream. Wish I had the gammon that looked amazing and the mrs the mussels which also looked great. More pub than gastro pub but probably the 2nd best place to eat in town so worth a visit.

Went there twice for dinner when we were in Caernarfon, the staff were friendly, helpful and professional. The bar itself was cozy, welcoming with a vibrant buzzy atmosphere and had a good selection of beers and spirits. There was a good menu with a broad selection of starters, mains and deserts, the food itself was well cooked, arrived at the table piping hot, was well presented and tasted great,The one thing I would warn you all about is to wear clothing with an expanding waist as the portions are a bit north of generous. The meals are very well priced and offer great value for money.I would really recommend this hostelry for a casual drink or for a great meal in nice historic surroundings

Came for dinner as it was recommended by a work colleague, and I have to say, I was very impressed. The staff were very friendly, and were able to get to me quickly despite being busy.Started with the chicken liver pate, and I was not disappointed. Hands down one of the best I've had in a while. I then had the seafood chowder which was a new experience for me, and if in ever in the area again I'll definitely be back for more. I might even try to stay there so I have an excise to experience the food every night!

Visited today as a party of 7 for lunch. 2 of our party opted for the fish and chips and it was dreadful, despite costing £16.90 each. The fish was overcooked, the batter burnt and very little, if any, fish remained inside. The worst fish and chips I've ever had. It was extremely disappointing that when we addressed this with the waitress she said she would tell the chef - no concessions were made to our bill for these 2 meals. The remainder of our party enjoyed their meals but we will not return again. A waste of money.

The room was fantastic, great food and bar. The staff were brilliant I injured myself the first morning of our stay ended up on crutches and they weren’t meant to be doing room service but they did it for me because I couldn’t walk, nothing was to much trouble for them 😄👍. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful old world style pub. Waiting staff very polite and attentive. Good menu reasonable price, dining room seperate to drinking area. Food was well cooked and tasty.

Lovely 500 year old inn serving a good range of ales, beers, wines and spirits. Great selection of food, both full meals and lighter bites. Really sorry that we didn't have time to eat at leisure but will definitely be back to enjoy an inn which gives the full experience of its 500 years in business. Brilliant.

This place is phenomenal! We’ve been looking for seafood chowder and this checked all the boxes. An abundance of seafood, whitefish, salmon, mussels, shrimp, etc.some corn and root vegetables in a delectable white wine and double cream sauce. Oh and the Welsh Beef Minced Pie my husband ordered was equally as delicious.
