What a lovely hotel! Really quaint, unspoiled & obviously caters for their customers in an enthusiastic & courteous manner. Beautiful function room & quiet bars. Can't wait to return & sample their Sunday lunch!

Lovely 3 night stay, cosy room, lovely and warm, nice traditional pub food, generous portions, that goes for breakfast and dinner, glad we chose this hotel, really pleased.

Looks like it is a very popular hotel as we saw alot of people checking in while we sat having a drink outside in the sunshine 🌞 while taking in the views of the countryside and river. A good selection of beers 🍻 on offer.

We stopped into the bar after a. Cold winter walk. It was toasty warm with friendly staff. We only had sandwiches but they were fresh and tasty and our dog got some turkey and a bowl of water off the staff so she was very happy. Would highly recommend.

Superb bar staff. Very friendly and help full for things to do in the area

Christmas lunch at The Eagles - WOW! Amazing food and service as always. Staff very welcoming and attentive. Lovely setting. All we could ask for!

We only ate here. The food is great. We ate here four times in a week due to not a lot of other choices in town. Three of four meals were very good indeed. However the homemade lasagne with garlic bread was awful. The lasagne contained raw onions and was pale and tasteless. The garlic bread was cold and did not taste of garlic. At all. The service was not good. The waiting staff were very young and all congregated around the bar which is around the corner from the eating area. In order to get attention we had to leave out table to interrupt their huddle behind the bar. Very frustrating. There didn't seem to be any experienced manager about on all four evenings.

We had a lovely stay, for one nite. Food was fab. Staff very friendly. Family room was excellent. Thanks all

A very nice and prominent hotel in a small town. Looks amazing from the outside with a solid granite facade and a charm that befits its location. The gardens overlook the local river and the stunning arched bridge to the west. The room I had (24) was comfortable and had the facilities I needed and, whilst in places the decor could be refreshed, this is a hotel in a Welsh town and wasn’t pretending to be anything more pretentious. The staff were great, helpful and friendly, and the food was really nice. They apply COVID restrictions carefully but it didn’t feel over the top. I enjoyed my stay and would do so again.
