Nice place. Food v good but service seems slow BUT the food is cooked to order and is very good. Nice portions and very fresh. Bar selection extensive and reasonably priced. All in all a good place for drinks and food.

My wife, myself and my 6 year old daughter ate here on Friday evening. We ate at 5.45 and the pub was buzzing, great atmosphere, all the staff were fantastic even though the restaurant section was heaving. My wife had the scampi which she said was lovely, I had the fillet steak which was excellent, melt in the mouth and so moist. The chips looked like they were hand cut. My daughter had the children’s spag bol which could have fed an adult, she said it was delicious and it looked home made with a soffrito base. We had 2 homemade apple crumbles and an apple pie to finish, yummy. Great pub, fantastic food and lovely and very hard working and attentive staff. There are reviews which are negative about the staff, which we certainly didn’t find, though we did see several customers drinking at tables in the restaurant which were clearly reserved for others (we heard two people comment that they’d stay at the table until they were asked to move), and staff politely asking them to move, that kind of arrogance would test any one’s patience. Once more, great pub, great food and excellent service.

Miserable sour faced grump bag... the younger staff that served us were perfectly nice and i enjoyed my meal but after calling ahead to make sure we could get a table(group of 6 hikers) the experience was ruined by the senior member of staff that treated us like we just shot her dog... this place could be great if the old lady took her mood and hid in the back somewhere.2 stars because I genuinely did enjoy the food

good old decor and cosy. Very busy but understandable as the food was amazing. The coleslaw is to die for. Wish it was my local. Definitely be returning

6 of us ate dinner here and during the night 2 of us were very unwell with symptoms of food poisoning. When I phoned the following day to tell them in case other customers had reported this I was shouted at by a very rude man - "YOU DID NOT GET FOOD POISONING HERE", he then hang up the phone. These things happen, but this is not the way to deal with it and hope it goes away, I will be posting other reviews online of this experience and it has also been reported to the Food Standards Agency!

First time we visited.. the staff were really lovely and friendly, service was quick and the food was pipping hot which was excellent..

Whilst the young waitress seem to have the world's problems on her shoulders, the actual speed of service, meal portions and taste were excellent. We arrived not knowing you had to book a table but they fitted us in. Will visit again.

Friendly and helpful people. Had some great dinner at 8PM on a bank holiday Sunday. Saved us from starvation when all the places in Llanberis couldn't be bothered. Great lamb chops too!

The food was lovely, but when I rang they said they served food till 7pm, we got there at 6.10pm, they then told us they finished serving at 6pm. Then we got told we could order food, since there was other people still ordering food. Very unorganised but again once we finally got our food it was nice.
