We had a lovely stay whilst attending a family wedding in Portmeirion, very comfortable and roomy in the 3 bedroom cottage, breakfast was plentiful and included in the price as we had booked direct. A great find in a fabulous location I definitely recommend x

Never been here before. We were looking for a breakfast without much look. So we turned off the main road and found this beautiful village square and a nice looking hotel. We went in and had the best breakfast ever. The staff were great as was the service. I'd eat here anytime, be it for breakfast, lunch or evening meal . If you are looking for a good bar, or hotel this place won't disappoint.

Had a lovely steak & ale 'pie of the day' which was superb. There are some nice nooks as well as normal tables to eat at. The fish & chips looked fantastic too. Some Welsh ales and other guest beers and a gin bar too. Service was very friendly. I stayed over and the rooms were comfortable and very clean. Highly recommended.

Would highly recommend to others! We stayed overnight for my husbands birthday after visiting Portmerion. From the start the lovely front of house staff member looked after us. We had room 5 which was small but very nice double room which had everything you could need. The balloon & wine as requested was in the room, nothing asked was a problem. Our evening meal was fabulous, large portions, well cooked and presented. The waiting staff were very attentive and couldn’t do enough, even while it was busy with staff shortages.Overall a great weekend away with the sun shining too ☀️

It's a quiet night in Tremadog, I'm thankful for the warm welcome provided by the Golden Fleece. My first visit for 30 years.. Oh wow its changed.. The extensive renovations and changes are wonderful and it's a bit quirky in a good way. Waiting staff spot on.. Kind, welcoming and courteous. The local brew on draught tonight was Purple Moose Glaslyn A light hoppy bitter brewed with water from Snowdonia.. There was an extensive but not confusing bi lingual menu promoting local produce and a specials menu. The food was exceptional and served in a timely manner. Cant fault it... Garlic Mushrooms to start and Salmon served on a risotto bed with a hollandaise sauce and side salad. I'll not leave it so long before my next visit.

It is very nice to be able to post an almost 100% positive review .We had the pleasure of staying here for 2 nights eating 2 evening meals and 2 breakfasts . We really couldn't fault the food or the service and the overall efficiency was very good .Our only slight negative was the room size ( tho we did book the basic room and are aware larger are available) and the bed was not very comfortable to our taste . The room decor however was very nice and we would have no hesitation to rebook again .

What a find. Plenty of parking. When we booked a room and didn't realise that the room came with a lounge and a rear patio! Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom even had a Whirlpool bath! The Inn has an extensive selection of Gin, and good local Ales.Don't miss out on the food, portions are huge so make sure you build up an appetite.

Stayed 1 night plus had evening meal with work colleagues. Evening meal and breakfast was outstanding and service was first class. Room was cosy, clean and had everything you needed to make your stay comfortable. I have stayed in hotels all over the world and I would put the Golden Fleece in the top 5 places I have stayed at. Well done.

Stayed overnight and also ate in the pub for evening meal too - food was incredible, one of the best burgers I think I've ever had! Good beer and atmosphere too.Room was really nice and well priced and all done out new, just the bathroom was a bit grotty and old. No hooks for our coats either in the room which would have been handy.
