We booked a table at the Ship for two nights as it was very local to where we were staying and previously we have really enjoyed both the food and service we received... however on this occasion the food was still good quality but the service and front of house was nonexistent. We received no welcome whatsoever when we walked in and at no point did the manager move from his bar stool and pint of lager! He looked to be having more fun with his friends than welcoming his guests. The pub was clearly understaffed as the waitress's were working really hard and the bar man looked stressed out yet still the manager sat drinking his pint ?Again I must stress that the food was excellent and the staff were working really hard to provide a service but the front of house and basic welcome needs to improve if the ship wants to stay afloat.

Food great service great gave it 3 because we were not allowed bar stool due to it being only for landlords use! I've had a pub in the past and have been to many bars and have never known this make your own assumptions but we will never return because we basically think this is very bad manners

We've always had great food and service until this Tuesday. Service was quite slow then 2 starters we wanted weren't available so we had to choose alternatives very quickly. Two of us had the lamb main course which was tough and fatty. We were only served chips which were dried up. New potatoes would have been preferable. The veg weren't cooked enough either. Our waitress was lovely but it was obvious they were short staffed which is understandable at the moment but the restaurant wasn't full. Such a shame as it has put us off returning.

Absolutely loved it. Amazing food, good beer and a nice cosy atmosphere. The beef fajitas were out of this world.

Lovely little place for a meal with the family. The service was great and quick but didn't get the feeling we were being rushed out. The food was lovely from the starters to the desserts and the place was clean and tidy and staff were pleasant enough and nice with my young daughter. Not really much parking (or not ar least from what I found) so leave a little early to find parking. We ate inside but they have cute little heated outside huts which looked nice. The only thing that could have been better in my opinion was the choice of beers. My wife enjoyed her glass of Malbec though. Would definitely recommend if you're thinking of booking.

We'd totally recommend going to the Ship Inn at Edern if you are visiting the Llyn Peninsula. The food is very tasty with excellent presentation.

You couldn't get a better way to end a brilliant holiday than a meal at the Ship, really well flavoured food cooked by a chef who knows his ingredients, friendly waitresses who serve with a smile and a can't do enough attitude,Edern has a gem of a pub !

A really superb Saturday night meal. Friendly and attentive staff. Good food. Busy and nice atmosphere. Not a complaint but the pie was hotter than the face of the sun (but still tasty).

Brilliant pub restaurant where they have really taken the initiative after the covid lockdown. Food and service are very good and it's a great place to visit.

First time here, what a lovely restaurant. Exceptionally friendly staff and on point with drink top ups. Very well setup for the "Pandemic"Good selection of Lagers, ciders and wines!Varied menus from 12oz Ribeye steaks right to Greek inspired Lamb Tzatziki and feta burgers!Nice out door setup with private huts. Dogs were welcomed outside, can't say about indoors. Toilets nice and tidy. Cannot fault the establishment at all.Whole heartedly recommend a visit!
