The Ship Inn / Y Llong in Gwynedd

Fantastic pub, went out of their way to get us in for Sunday Lunch & the food was amazing. Friendly & welcoming staff who made us feel more than welcome. Would defiantly recommend to anyone passing through Porthmadog. Thank you to all the staff for a great Sunday lunch & friendly chat.

We had a lovely Sunday Roast here today, it was delicious. Generous portions beautifully cooked.I have a food allergy which they catered for with no fuss. We were more than satisfied, excellent service.

Food was absolutely beautiful. Staff were lovely & very honest! I had over paid by £20 as those new ones were stuck together & the lady brought it back to me. Will be going again when back in the area

One of the staff was very nice with us, we met with her outside and she told us that they still have a table, so we can go in, but we have time no rush.So we went in but unfortunately not that girl was our waitress, was an older woman and she was not so nice. She hurried us to order, was not so polite and nice. Was not a big choice of food, menu was ok as a simple pub, nothing special, not too many beer option, place not really cozy, no life in it, no vibrant, nothing what catch you.I am sure the staff was less then needed.Beside table ordered lambshank, and as i saw was just so so.. not so bad, but i am sure it was not so good either.We decided not to eat there. And just leave the place. 😏Maybe we just were there in a bad time.

Ate out two nights here as it was next door to our B & B. Read some of the reviews and was hoping to meet the “rude” bar staff mentioned, love a good argument. Unfortunately she must have moved on, the replacement was very helpful with a wicked sense of humor. Did not get any names as they were so busy but the servers were also very friendly and helpful. The food was good standard pub grub except for Andy’s gammon steak, it was the tastiest he had ever had. Local meat from a local butcher, says it all.

Wonderful local pub with fantastic staff. The place was empty when we arrived (group of 7) and their lunch menu wasn’t starting for another 20 minutes but they got it going earlier for us. Thoroughly surprised with the food quality.

Apparently the only pub in town serving hot meals on the Monday of our visit! So it was busy, and we were fortunate to book a table one hour in advance. Food was reasonably priced and fairly good. Nice friendly staff. Clean but old fashioned decor and furniture.

Very friendly traditional pub serving equally traditional pub food - lasagna, scampi, gammon steak, burgers, steak and ale pie and so on. Morretti, Coors, Heineken, Guinness, Old Speckled Hen and a cider are on the bar. Get there early because food stops at 8.

Friendly staff good service .I came at really busy time we been served quickly. Food was delicious with good price. Thank you so much for your service. Every time I came it's amazing experience. Definitely my favourite place to eat in porthmadog ❤️❤️❤️

Massive portions served with love.We ordered burger with chicken topping, and lamb steak. Very tasty food. Really nice staff too. Must visit. 🏅🏅🏅
