Stayed for one night on Tuesday 5th July for our daughters Graduation. Had drinks and something to eat in the bar. It was a nice relaxed and cosy atmosphere. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. Really enjoyed our stay. We will be back.

We have had a lovely few days here at The Slate. The food, service and friendliness were fantastic.... the Sunday roast was exceptional........wine great too. The airbnb was also great as spacious, clean and well appointed. We shall be back

Probably the best place to stay and eat in North Wales. The staff are the nicest and friendliest you can get. The room was top class. The breakfasts was full Welsh or just cereals if that's what you prefer. The dinners were well cooked and plentiful. Plus there is a casual bar for a drink or two. 5 STARS ALL ROUND.

Loved the food here. The signature pork belly dish is a stand out. Unfortunately 4* because we had to send our lamb flatbreads back as they were cold. Staff were very friendly and happy to offer us a replacement within 10mins. Great fresh produce!

Food was very nice and staff fantastic but Food was over priced. £9.00 for a starter of three little pieces of pork and £28.00 for three lamb cutlets a few fried potatoes and a poor salad. There was no veg with anything plates just bulked with a very basic salad.

Wonderful stay at the Slate after 6hr Snowdon climb. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by a lovely lady at the reception. Soon enough we were checked in & made our way to the room. Room was a bit on a small side but still lovely. Nice comfy bed, fabulous shower! We stayed on Monday so didn’tget to experience their dinner service but breakfast was well presented. Staff & owner are fabulous people! I will 100% be recommending this place!

Food was outstanding. What a treat. 5 stars all the way. From food to service, it was superb. We had the Sunday lunch and wow wee. Salmon, belly pork, beef and a variety of desserts. Rich and Ben are superb chefs whom do not disappoint.

We have just had a 2 night stay here... all very positive! Excellent room (No8) a family room sleeping 3 comfortably. The room was clean, well appointed with a great ensuite shower room with really hot water and a brilliant large shower. The lady who greeted us on arrival and who subsequently looked after us at breakfast was very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice and quality ingredients. We had a slight blip when r couldn't get back in after going out for a meal on the 1st night as we the door was locked and we couldn't get any answer on the phone to gain access but we did eventually get in after half an hour but I guess these things sometimes happen. One point to note is that room 8 is next to a railway line, this in no way impacted on our stay and did not hinder sleeping in any way for us however if you are light sleeper you might be better to request a room on the other side away from the track. We would certainly recommend The Slate and the next time we stay we would love to try the restaurant at night as it was closed when we stayed, the menu looks delicious!
