Staff need to learn a little customer pleasantries when telling someone they have no tables. Have never felt so insulted when the gentleman in question couldn’t get us out the restaurant quick enough when we asked if he had a table for two. A simple no and sorry would have sufficed.

Friendly restaurant, but a shame they didn’t have any of the wines we asked for on the menu..the excuse was due it being a bank holiday…can’t they plan ahead? The food was very mixed. The star being the baked celeriac, followed closely by the delicious mussels..the chorizo would have been better more finely chopped. The most disappointing dish was the Spanish lamb stew with welsh lamb…the sauce had been made separately and then lamb added later. A stew is a slow cooked dish..so sadly all we got was nasty chewy fatty lumps of gristle.Another thing I found a bit odd was that despite a mostly empty restaurant at 8pm, people walking off the street were turned away!

Lovely tapas! All the food was excellent, but the meatballs and patatas bravas were particular highlights!

Lovely food! Young/new staff. Great drinks! The croquettes, the pears, the halloumi fries, the olives all delish! We felt lucky to get seated without a reservation

Really nice food. Tapas, plenty of choice and definitely worth a look.

We stayed here for two nights. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable as was the modern bathroom. The person running the place was friendly and helpful and checked us in late after traffic and having to take a diversion driving up.Selection of beers are nice. Some minor criticisms:Despite being guests at the hotel, we couldn't get any food. We were allowed to sit at a table in an adjacent room but still couldn't order food for some reason. When we arrived our beds were doubles instead of twins (which was selected at booking) but this was rectified. There is a pub opposite that blares out music on weekends, an you can hear this and anyone on the street in the evening and morning.A couple of us found one of the doors very hard to unlock with the keyThe sink in our bathroom did not drain properlyThe TV remote didn't work properly (probably needs new batteries)

Straight forward booking of a table by email a couple of days before travelling. The restaurant was busy, but not crowded. The table service was friendly & the tapas excellent. I'd especially recommend the sea bass. If we return to the Caernarfon area, we will definitely eat at Ty Castell again.

There's only 5 stars on here when this place deserves so many more. Service is friendly, fast and helpful. The food is some of the best I have had. A really good varied menu using local produce. Excellent choice of drinks and a great venue.

Booked a table here for my mum's birthday, the food was beautiful and the waitresses were so lovely and helpful! There isn't a disabled toilet but the entrance itself is wheelchair accessible so definitely manageable. Only thing I would say is that there were certain things that were unavailable on the menu which we didn't find out until after we had ordered. Other than that it was great!
