Booked to stay 5 days ended up staying longer. A well kept site just outside Portmadog, well within comfortable walking distance.Pitches are well laid out and very clean, no litter or rubbish. We had a tap and drain on our pitch which is normal and this is included in cost of standard pitch. No dog walks on site but footpaths to beach and other villages run through site or are close.by. There are no dog bins or other bins on site and rubbish is put into a compactor by entrance. The is a bar on site which is very competitive we paid £3.70 for a pint. Staff very helpful and friendly and willing to help. Usual toilets, showers, laundry on site though showers cost 50p. The site is a mix of statics, seasonal and tourers and can get busy on weekend

Fantastic site, clean, well kept facilities, small shop, evening bar, a playground by a small stream, stunning views up the footpath behind main site. An easy walk from Porthmadog. The main road path is very convenient. Excellent customer service. We look forward to returning. Many thanks.

This place was really lovely. A nice easy walk downhill to Porthmadog (get a taxi back that's a big bloody hill). The site was clean, all the staff were really friendly and helpful. The shop and bar are great.I would give it 5 stars, but to charge 50p for a shower in this day and age just feels wrong, and you have to keep pressing the button (like the showers at the school baths) which is just plain annoying!

Absolutely loved this place, a beautiful campsite with all the modern facilities required, well kept and very friendly staff.A great area to visit for walking and site seeing.I would highly recommend staying here.

Tyddyn Llwyn April 2022We stayed at this beautiful site for 7 days. Well maintained and great hard full service pitches. Friendly and helpful staff. Spotlessly clean toilets & showers (yes you do have to pay 50p for shower but felt it worth the extra, after all it is optional as we all have showers in our MH's). Reception give you a map of the surrounding walks and beaches, also the bus stop is outside the campsite, it only takes 10 mins to walk into Porthmadog or Morfa Bychan (which we did several times). There are several beaches within walking distance, we did part of the Welsh Coastal walks to the Harbour and beaches, they are stunning. In Portmagdog you can catch 6 different Steam train rides which range from 2 to 7 hours long all have a stop for breaks. It is the Ffestiniog Y Welsh Highland Railways. There is also a bus to Minffordwhich gets you to Porntmeirion (although it is a 1mile walk from the bus stop.) We will return to this site , Thankyou Tyddyn Llwyn for a great stay. We do not have a Dog but dog friendly site.

Very clean and tidy site. Staff very friendly. Handy for all amenities easy walking both into town and coast paths.

The bins are a joke, you have to take all your rubbish all the way to near the site entrance (which pitch dependant can be quite a long way) to where the compactor is. Only glass is recycled which is frankly poor.As there are no bins anywhere on site, including dog poo ones, then it all goes in the compactor, so nice and easy for the site, a pain for guests. There is no area on site for exercising Dogs, out side the site is a main road so it’s not ideal at all.Washing up water was at best Luke warm, 3 nights running.Site wise though great staff, good clean facilities, and all nice and tidy throughout with some lovely pitches, some are small we noted though.Showers at 50p. We knew this when we booked so no complaints initially but, they say it’s to stop Children leaving the showers on, yet all are push button showers, so sadly, purely profiteering in our view! The walk to town is an easy 15minute walk with some pleasant shops but little to actually see Harbour wise.We struggled to find a nice pub to eat in which is a first. There are though plenty of good walks and a superb beach area isn’t far away.Do book one of the train journeys though as well worth it.Portmeirion is about 3.5 miles away and an easy cycle or walk and well worth the trip.We enjoyed our 3 nights here but wouldn’t return due to the bins/no dog area and shower greed.
