Walkers Quality Restaurant in Gwynedd

We enjoy some decent fish and chips wherever we're out at the coast and this place is our favourite.Despite being the only chippy in town they're not taking the easy option. Instead they seem to consistently produce decent food which is a credit to them. Tasty, well-cooked chips and great quality fish in a crisp batter has kept us coming back for more over the past year.The word is out so there's always a queue but your effort will be rewarded with satisfying food that will make you want to leave a glowing review. Just like this one!

Visited Walker’s on Friday 20/05/22. The man serving was from my home town and very friendly. We ordered the cod and Haddock and both were excellent! The chips were great and amazing mushy peas and curry sauce. I found the prices pretty good overall and we look forward to visiting Walkers again.

Beautiful food, freshly prepared, value prices. Came recommended as the best in the area and certainly didn't disappoint. £38 to feed five adults and one child and we were full to bursting with plenty left over. Wow.

Nice chips, Shame about the quantity, I got about the same as my grandson in his child’s meal having paid for large portion.Have had fish and chips previously which was very good.Decided to have steak and ale pie this time which was a mistake, received a soggy microwaved mess not at all what I was expecting have given three stars as chips were very nice and fish was good previously but quality not consistent. Not sure if I will risk it again

Fantastic fish and chips. They can get busy but when you taste the food you can see why. Delicious. Enjoyed it and will definitely be going back for more. 👍

Excellent. Fish perfectly cooked with light crispy batter. Chips nice and crispy at edges. Scampi very good with a nice fresh garnish. There were some negative comments from last year, but I believe the structure of the business has recently changed for the better. Well recommended.

Truly lovely fish, vegan fish and chips. Husband had Haddock and I had the vegan fish. Both were just heaven and the chips were the type that you keep eating long after you're full!!! Very happy to recommend this place. Very well priced too, around 25% less than we would normally pay for fish and chips in Suffolk when we're at home.

Three of us had fish and chips for our T here last night, we added mushy peas, gravy and a curry sauce with a couple of pots of tomato sauce.Very good indeed, decent size fish cooked perfectly. The chip's were nicely done too, very tasty. All the extras didn't fail either, we thoroughly enjoyed the food.Inside social distancing measures are still in place, 4 allowed in at any one time. Very clean, tidy and organized inside with safety screens at the till.We sat outside on their benches and enjoyed our meal with a lovely view of the estuary going out to sea.We'll done to all of the team supplying a great service and looking after your customers. We will be visiting again next time we are in the area.

omg fish is superb , best fish we have had for a long time. well worth the wait. - think they have really done a great job in organising their system.basically only 4 allowed in shop , so you queue and enter via the back/side door - when you get to the door they ask you what you would like to order - its then put into cook, so its hot & fresh. No soggy batter or dry chips 😀Clean shop. Friendly staff. Good food. excellent portions. reasonable prices.Just be prepared to queue ... but its worth it.
